This could be a thread to post links of what the pundits think of our draft.

To start with, I don't know what you think of WalterFootball, but he certainly put some effort in his stuff, and he graded all our picks with A's (even the Conner one), so I like him more now :D.

    http://www.walterfootball.com/offseason2010nyj.php

    29. Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State
How did the Jets obtain one of the top cornerback prospects in the 2010 NFL Draft at No. 29? Insane. (Pick Grade: A)

    61. Vladimir Ducasse, G/OT, UMass
This is not a need at all, but it certainly will be down the line when Alan Faneca moves on. Vladimir Ducasse fits the range and can play multiple positions up front. Another good pick. (Pick Grade: A)

    112. Joe McKnight, RB, USC
Great value, as Joe McKnight was a Round 2-3 prospect. LaDainian Tomlinson is old and Leon Washington is coming off an injury. The Jets had no sure thing behind Shonn Greene. (Pick Grade: A)

    139. John Conner, FB, Kentucky
A very good blocker, John Conner should be a quality fullback in New York for years to come. (Pick Grade: A)

I agree with what the opening post said grade-wise. we havent had a lot of picks compared to other teams but this is still a very strong draft. I love picking up Joe McKnight.

I am also a fan of good Fullbacks. They are a dying breed in the NFL, the fullback position might not even exsist by the the time I have kids haha.

We didn't have a lot of picks, true. But don't forget we got Holmes, Edwards and Cromartie with the picks we didn't have for rookies. I'd rather have those three than some late round rookie.

I think we would've been better off with Dexter McCluster if he was still available when they began thinking RB. He's used to a wild cat and occasionally lining up at WR. But we're going to be fine, this was definitely an A level draft.

I wouldn't call Shonn Greene a "sure thing" either....

Last year a lot of people didn't think we needed a RB. I think the McKnight pick could turn out to be gold right away.

"Wah!" Plus, the irony of your avatar. :)

HAH, did anyone catch Rex Ryan's interview with Suzy Kolber about a half hour ago? Not verbatim, but she said something like, "You've had a busy off-season. Cromartie, Santonio Holmes, Ladanian Tomlinson, who do you think is going to have the biggest impact?" "Brodney Poole." I love Rex Ryan.

I like the draft overall. We know have a great core of young players-
    RB- Greene, McKnight
    QB- Sanchez
    TE- Keller
    OL-Brick, Mangold, Vladimir
    WR- Holmes, Edwards, Cotchery
    LB- David Harris
    CB- Revis, Cromartie, Wilson
    FB- Connor

More than half our starters next year are 27 and under. We are building something for the long term, not just this season.

Certainly your entitled to your opinion but I'm curious why you don't like McKnight. I think it could be the steal of the draft. He posseses 1st round talent and has teh ability to break one open everytime he touches the ball...plus he's 5 years younger then Leon.

I suppose either one of them could have mentioned Taylor too. Oh, and even though they only showed him from the shoulders up he looks like he has already lost at least 50 pounds. He was down to only one chin.

Call me insane, but I would also include Clemens in a backup capacity. The guy won't light the world on fire, but I thought he performed admirably in Sanchez's absence and carried on the team's offensive philosophy and overall attitude nicely. He really made strides as a game manager since his entry into the league.

I know a lot of you guys don't like him, but as a 2nd or 3rd QB on the depth chart, I'm very comfortable knowing Clemens can step in, avoid mistakes, and let the other talent on the team decide the game. Even if he tosses one into the ground 3 yards in front of his intended receiver every now and then
