Come on, we can always get some un drafted / FA fools to back up the D line.

    Relax

  2. That's the crappy Terry Bradway attitude that has had us lacking line depth for nearly a decade now!

He'd better be diagnosed as "Will never return to 50% of what he used to be" status. Good God. We GAVE the fucking guy away. Had to throw in a 7th to get it done too... Leon wasn't enough so we had to sweeten the deal.

I wouldn't have minded the Fins giving up a 4th for Leon. Dude had serious speed and playmaker ability on special teams and certain offensive formations.

Do we really need two John Conner threads?

Yeah it would be awesome to give him a huge contract before a career ending injury

This is so dumb. We could've had Leon Washington and a pass-rusher like Gibson, Sapp, or Norwood, plus a 6th and a 7th. Instead we end up with Joe McKnight and a backup FB, without addressing the pass-rush or the DL.

Because our Defensive line was so bad last year it lead to being THE #1 OVERALL DEFENSE

This FO deserves our trust , simple as that . Rex also does not value DE/DT high in his system , he will pick UFA and plug them in . We have the likes of pitiouti ( sp) , devito, ellis and Pouha to rotate. They are selecting best player on the board , we have 39 yr old FB , this was a massive need in a power run Offense

You can sign any veteran FB and get solid production out of them, or draft a FB when Richardson actually leaves. No need to spend a 5th rounder on one now when there's much bigger needs on this team.

Westhoff and Schottenheimer have to love him. Big run blocker, hits like a freight train, great special teams tackler, and he can catch the ball.

Richardson is like 40, this was the best FB in the draft. Jets run the ball a lot in case you didn't realize. Not that shocking to me.

so we essentially traded herman edwards for a fullback. if you look at it like that then it doesnt sound so bad.

The Jets wouldn't have traded away Leon unless it was clear he wasn't going to be an impact in 2010, an it's pretty clear his injury will prevent him from playing like he always has.

  17. You mean the same defensive line whose best player is coming back from yet ANOTHER major knee surgery and who lost a veteran starter who has yet to be replaced?

Rex is truely building for the future with depth. Richardson is here one more year and can prep the rookie to replace him.

If Conners is half the player Richardson is we are good to go for a long time at FB.
