I still want a OLB / DE. Griffin would make me very happy, but I'm fairly sure he'll be long gone, but this draft so far has seen many surprises. Worst pick has to be the Eagles
Remember...Rex says he can never have enough ...DB's...LOL And Ansah is a very good one, with very good size/speed ratio. Been looking at available players....DT {NT} from North Carolina...Cam Thomas still available. But This guy Akwasi Owusu Ansah....really xcites me....Remember Kerry Rhodes came in 4th round. Jets like playmakers in 4th round. This guy Ansah makes plays. Of course, we will have to wait & see.
Just watched it. IMO, as a PR he will not have the same kind of success, he relies alot on lateral moves. As a FS, he seems like a good coverage saftey, but his tackling skills are not very good, from what I've seen. Good ball hawking skills, but alot of those INTs were from horrible throws. I'd be disappointed if we took him if I'm honest, far bigger needs right now
I agree with everything u said, but his natural FS ballhawking skills...combined with his size & speed....a pretty impressive combo....He could be really coached-up pretty nice. When Jets go nickel & dime packages DB's in coverage....Can u invision this group of DB's... Best secondary in league. ???
They will trade up , package next years 4th and this years 6th/ 7th to get up to top of board. Select best pass rusher available, Sapp would fit prefectly. Then with second 4th rounder select bext availble DT. There will be tons of good UFA available which is where Tanny shines as well
Yeah...but..... Who really wants Clemens {except Pats...to interegate him} His value seems pretty low. The trade up part...I also feel they will.
I think we have to go DL for this pick. I really think there's no way we pick offense (with the exception of insane value), we are absolutely stacked in the offense right now with really little to no needs. So in ranking of need I think it goes DL, OLB, and then S. I'm thinking we get the best DE or NT left on the board. Maybe Cam Thomas for NT or Sapp for OLB.
I don't know if Thomas makes it to the 24th pick in 4 hrs. I hope he does, because the value the Jets will have gotten in their 3 picks would be off the charts.
I don't think we trade any of next years picks, I get the feeling that Tanny wants a full draft next season, to do as Rex wants and select BPA in each round. But yes, package up our remaining picks + player(???) and get the pass rusher to learn/compete with JTphin
