Damnit, Jon Gruden must be reading this board because he is emphasizing that you pronounced Spievey "spih-vay" and not spivey
I would say an upgrade over Thomas is needed, but he is a decent starter for now. Taylor is not getting any younger.
NEED ANOTHER BRUSIER no fucking doubt had we had one more brusier and a decent cb we beat the colts in afcc
You're right. We do need that 3rd RB depth. Greene's shown to be a bit injury prone, and LT certainly can't carry the load on his own. We need all 3. Like the other guy said, if we're able to pull Faneca and like a 4 for a 3 then yeah, otherwise we probably can't trade back in without trading future picks.
That's why I want a rookie at OLB this season. Thomas goes, Taylor stays, and the rookie learns everything he can from Taylor that isn't how to act in front of and deal with Jets fans.
But the 3rd RB doesn't have to be an All-Pro; he can be found in R7 or even UDFA, so at that point, I don't really consider it a hole.
Pioli ran those drafts for pats look at work he doing in k.c now; chiefs having better draft than pats and broncos
Nah I wanted Griffen. A trade like B Thomas, Clemens, Faneca plus maybe our 4th for a 3rd wouldn't create any holes on the team. A trade like this wouldn't work though.
If the trade means a pick to replace Thomas then fine. But I would say right now, DE is a bigger need. I mean, the Jets don't have a starter right now on one side, only Ellis on the other. I like DeVito, as a role player and spot starter though.
NJ.com story on 2nd round pick Vladimir Ducasse (Edit: pretty short story). http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2010/04/jets_select_massachusetts_offe.htm
Pitoitua, DeVito, and Pouha can work a nice rotation to play opposite Ellis and spell him on occasion. Ryan doesn't keep too many DL active on game day anyway.
That ESPN Todd McShay big board thing made no sense at all. It had Brad Smith listed at DB and BT at DT, without mentioning Jenkins.
