Had to go with McCourty and I think it'll be him if Odrick is off the board. I absolutely love Nate Allen and he'd be a great fit in our system. Wouldn't be surprised if he is taken (even if it's early).
McCourty. I think Rex is pushing hard for a CB. He needs at least 3 good ones to have a chance to beat Indy, along with an improved pass rush (which we got with JT). I'm not completely sold on Cromartie and I dont think anyone else is either.
Went with Joseph....I'd rather fill our 3rd/4th corner spot with someone like Javier Arenas or Walter McFadden later. There is no substitute for Linval Joseph later. Saffold was in consideraiton as well.
I've got my mind set on two players right now. Jared Odrick is who I want and Devin McCourty is who I think we'll get. I like McCourty and I think he's a great fit for this team. Rex loves corners and he just so happens to be a special teams demon. Not to mention, he's a local product.
I think the Jets go McCourty if that's how the board falls. He's BPA and Rexy loves his DBs. With this scenario, I'd be okay with McCourty, Joseph, and Saffold. The only pick that I'd really hate is Mays. Also, I like Alualu as a player, but I just don't like him at 29 at all. I couldn't agree more, I feel exactly the same way. Unfortunately, I have a really bad feeling that we'll be playing against Odrick either week 1 (Baltimore) or week 2 (Pats)
McCourty, the guy will become Revis's best friend. I think having 2 really good CBs as well as the best CB in the league will ultimately help this team win a title. Teams that are going to hurt us will be pass happy teams that can beat the pressure. Having another loaded gun back there helps.
^ That's the thing. We either need to aid our pass rush or our secondary with that first pick. Jared Odrick can eat up blockers for Pace or Taylor to get to the QB, but having a lockdown secondary can get us a lot of coverage sacks as well. I think that's the main focus of the draft and what Ryan and other coaches saw on last year's film.

I would do whatever I could to trade down in this situation. I voted for Alualu, because I feel 3-4 DE is by far away our biggest need and I have him rated higher than Joseph. I wouldn't be interested in an OL in this spot unless Iupati or Pouncey fell.
