Mike Pelfrey: Stopper. Might be the highlight of the season so far; he's really breaking out (hopefully).

I missed the game tonight, but reyes looks like he's still as fast as he was pre-injury, doesn't he???

Pelfrey may be turning into our own Brandon Webb.

you know theres alot of talent on this club. the veterans are starting to play back to form and the rookies are developing faster than i thought, there's two or three potential all stars out there

Seriously....can this guy come through with a key hit just once. It's crazy. What is in this guy's head?

It's strange because he was never that streaky in the past, and did very reasonably with RISP, but in the last few years that has changed. I am very far from giving up on him, but the fact is that he is not now where back in 2007 we all thought he would be by now.

Faux News had the Red Sox taking the division over the Yankees this year.

Their hitting took a hit by losing Bay, but they got Lackey, and have an excellent pitching staff, but the Mets suck completely, despite getting off to a better (slightly) start then the Sox.

I think that day off for Jose did wonders, he looked like a completely different player today.

Jerry said that Jose volunteered Luis to have a day off before he did. Nice Gesture.

    Big Pelf looked absolutely nasty.

Lol poor Frankie, 5/6 times the Mets won K-Rod wasn't able to get the save.

Blowing that save against the Cards was just awful.

Above-average closer making eight figures a year to pitch 60-70 innings.

In a repeat from a couple of days ago, Wright booed as he strikes out with a man on base. It's amazing how awful he looks these days.

Wright doubles in Reyes (tying the Mets club record) to make it 1-0. Nice to see a good at bat from him for a change.

Francoeur breaks an 0/24 streak and picks up Bay by singling in Wright to make it 2-0.
