I have a draft theory (Disclaimer, my theories are usually wrong) that they are gonna do an "Eli" and draft bradford for someone else, get some extra picks and take McCoy with their 2nd round pick.
No, but they could conceivably move up for Clausen if he fell into the teens, which would be a definite possibility if Bradford didn't go #1. The Browns seem to like Bradford, so if he went #7, and the Raiders, Bills (who seem to like Tebow), and Jags pass, the Rams could conceivably position themselves to move up.
If Clausen fell past 10, they could probably jump into the 20s for him. I don't see a landing spot for him besides perhaps the 49ers, and even that would be a tough move for the Rams. They'd have to give up more than a 1 and 2 to jump that high.
Ok, I'll put it a different way. If they go for Suh and Bradford becomes a star then the entire front office will be fired even if Suh is all pro every year of his career and that's because the team will still be a 4-12 team at best until they get a QB.
Rams traded Carriker for a crushed box of Twinkies and half a bottle of Yoohoo. Three years ago the draftniks here were begging for Carriker to be a NYJ. Carriker needs to be a 3-4 DE.
I have to admit Carriker was supposed to be the beast..but then so again was Gholston in some minds. As long as you keep paying rookies 50 million or more this is what you are going to get. That's why it will stop in the next contract.
hmmm that would be awesome compensation as we would be raping the Chargers but I think your asking for too much
