This is a pretty funny thread. Jet fans..nah..thats bullshit...all fans crack me up when a rival player comes to town to play for our team. The reason most Jet fans that dont like the signing are voicing their displeasure is because Taylor is on the wrong side, age, of his career. When the Yankees brought in Clemens and Boggs, that was ok. Sure you hated them...until they won a championship..then we cheered. Cliche cliche cliche if Taylor sacks the qb often....cliche cliche cliche. Is he an asshole? No doubt about it..since when has that stopped teams from going after players. All of a sudden Jet fans think they have morals now?
No doubt about it. This makes it alow easier to take. On a serious note, Rex is going to use JT to perfection. Love him or hate him JT is going to have a great year under Rex. I have a feeling we'll be cheering this guy on alot.
Again, second in MVP voting a mere two years ago. Why the hate? Here's an excerpt from the Miami herald blog, that may be of concern: Basically, Taylor didn't want to do anything that would be misinterpreted as him leaving the Dolphins for a rival. "He's leaving the Dolphins because they've given him no choice," the family source said. To that end, Taylor is expected to be introduced at a press conference by the Jets Wednesday. But after working out with his new teammates into the weekend, Taylor also expects to have a press conference in South Florida to address with the local media about his feelings on this move. Taylor, the source said, sees this move as a separation but not a divorce from South Florida and Miami fans. "Logically, he had to go to Jets," the source said. "But emotionally, his heart is with Dolphins fans." Read more: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/#ixzz0lfoe7MWQ
I've never seen anyone get so up in arms about a trash talker. JT understood the rivalry, and had a really great time with it. JT doesn't know me and he never will. He never talked trash about me, whether he's a faggot or not. If you feel more comfortable as some kind of borg collective, and feel JT was talking about you, to each their own.
Hilarious? Nope, not so much. I'm not happy about this move, there is nothing wrong with that. I'm not out of line, so how about you stop "trying" to come up with creative names to call other posters, and just stick to football related issues.
He still had a monster year. Doesn't really matter how many votes he had. He was defensive player of the year in 2006. That does mean he was the best defensive player, right?
i agree.... the dude has a talent we need. end of story. it baffles me how people were really that offended by him saying we take the cl out of class......and that we dont work on wall street.
Like most people here I'm not too thrilled that one of our biggest enemies who has publicly ridiculed Jets fans multiple times is playing here. But I agree that the fact that Ryan went after him so hard definitely says something about what he can bring to the table. Still one busted play or TD that is his fault is all it will take for me to start booing him like crazy
I can't wait to go to the Jets games. I can hear it now that announcer guy... halftime "Hey Jets fans..one lucky ticket holder will be called out to dance center field with the star! Jason Taylor!"
dude...those "faggots" don't know any of us so they're just talking shit because they're bored...it's not actually about any of us. I love the Jets but seriously...it's entertainment. none of us coach, play or draft for them...let's lighten up and enjoy the weird ride rex and tanny are taking us on. J-E-T-S! :gpc:
I could care less how much of a prick Taylor has been The Jets didn't have any OLB show any shred of ability to get to the QB last year. If Taylor is blind-siding Brady, you're damn sure I'll be cheering for him.
