Not at all, although I'm sure that's how a homer would assume we'd look at it. Any team that gets Graham is sure to be getting a very aggressive pass rusher.
Not a fan of trading up this year. With all the talent in this draft, the Jets are better off bringing in 2 potential starters rather than trading away all their top end picks for 1. Even better would be a trade back. Hopefully a player that one team may zero in will still be @ 29 (like a Tebow or someone). Who knows maybe the Jets can pick up an extra couple of picks in the 2nd or 3rd round and a really high future pick. It has been known to happen if a team gets desperate.
REally all of you guys wouldn't have a problem trading up with our 2nd rd pick to get Graham!? I'd be pissed as hell!!! If he's there at 29 good otherwise there are too many good players in this draft to trade up. whoever we get in the 1st + whoever we get in the 2nd >> Graham... as much as I like the kid.
I'd be fine with it. Also, it could always be 1st + Leon + later pick. You never know how tannenbaum will get this done.
this is the guy the Jets really need....I dont give a shit trade Leon and a 4th and move up and get him....
Exactly! This kid isn't in the league yet but he's already shitt'n on Da Ghost. Ya gotta luv this kid's 'tude and you have to wonder just WTF is Gholston thinking now that he's an encylopedia on how not to make the most of a NFL career.
Well, there's that whole Ohio State/Michigan rivalry going with this one, so I'm not surprised there's some shit-talking, but I'm kind of wary that this guy is directly smacking on a guy that he's also lobbying to be a teammate of. Is he going to start laying smack on Mangold next?
Gholston is absolutely terrible, but it's not a good way to get into a team's good graces by trash talking a member of that team. I mean, Graham hasn't even played an NFL down. No one on the Jets has publicly called Gholston a bust, but a rookie is going to? I don't like the attitude.
I would hope every rookie aspires to be more than Gholston. It's not like he's a real football player anyway.
It might not be a good way to get in a team's good graces, but it's a great way to get in a fan's good graces. And what does this team care about "team's good graces?" They're begging a washed up Jason Taylor to come here. -X-
Definitely a fan of Graham, but not sure how I feel about him talking bad about a current player on a team he may want to play with, or end up with. Yea I hate Gholston and he's widely recognized as a major bust, but if we are to end up with this guy I'd rather have had him not already on record disparaging a teammate. I understand players get traded to teams who they've bad mouthed all the time (look at the JT situation), but it's a little different for a rookie who has yet to earn his stripes in the league.
That's definitely possible... And it could cause him to fall just enough to trade up for him if the price is reasonable.
