According to the draft picks value chart, the Jets could move up to that #18 range for #29 and their 2nd Rd Pick

So if Brandon Graham slid to that area would you trade 29 and our 2 to move up if the situation presented itself?

I'd really prefer to stay put this year or even move down. We need depth more than anything else out of this draft.

I'm with Ig on this one....I'd prefer not to trade up.

We shouldn't have to anyway...we're going the BPA route.

Generally speaking I am opposed to trading up in this draft, but I voted "YES" in this scenario and here's why ...

The Jets really and genuinely are "this close" to breaking a 40+ Year drought and winning the Super Bowl

I think most of us agree with that assessment, but of course its a stretch to suggest a rookie can put us over the top

Having said that, in this case I believe this man can be that impact edge rusher and final piece to the puzzle

IMO Graham can be that kind of "difference maker", even as a rookie, therefore if he slides and we have a chance to go up and get him, I would hate losing that 2 but in this instance I would have to bite the bullet and GO FOR IT

    NO GUTS - NO GLORY

it's all "No Guts No Glory"....till we're bitten by the injury bug and we have no depth to sustain our run.

I understand your reasoning....but a conservative, patient approach to the draft should be utilized this year, IMO.

As you know, our oline and dline are vulnerable.

No way. If we're giving up our first 2 picks might as well go all out and get Berry. I'd trade up for Graham if we didn't have to give up our 2nd rounder as well. Having no pick til the 4th would be devastating in this draft.

No but I would trade our entire draft to get Suh...(I know it isn't enough) of course he could be another Gholston but I doubt it. Anybody who pledges 2 1/2 million dollars to his college as a thank you for getting me here is going to be a hall of famer for sure unless his career is shortened by injury.

There's a huge difference in price between trading into the TOP 6 for Berry or trading into the #18 range for Graham

To trade up for Berry it would cost WAY WAY WAY MORE than just 29 and our 2

A better comparison would be trading up for Earl Thomas if he slid to that 18 range

I understand that. But I wouldn't even want to give up our 2nd for Thomas. I'll give up next years with it but not this year. I'd give up our first 2 picks this year and our 2nd next year and some other conditional picks to get Berry though. Can't give up next years 1st either as too many 3-4 DE studs will be around next year for us to do that.

Who in the hell said yes?

Basically we're giving up a potential starter to move up 11 spots? C'mon.

I love Brandon Graham as much as anyone, but I agree with this sentiment.....Berry's the only guy I'd pay that price to trade up to get.

Yeah man, and look how it worked out for us

That's what got us Mark Sanchez, Shonn Greene, Darrelle Revis, David Harris, etc.

See what I mean, the kid in the video is right, sometimes "WTF" really does work

Yes, we did it to build the core of the team. Now we need to fill in the roster with depth.

As far as the video, let me know when Booger becomes an NFL scout

Yeah but I don't think we're done with the core

If you run a 3-4 defense, IMO your defense is not complete until it has an elite 34OLB edge rusher

IMO you stil have a big hole in your defense and the 34 will never function at its best until that player has been secured

So I would view Graham as a huge piece to this years SB puzzle, and a huge piece of the core as well

I have to be honest in the first round Graham is the guy I want and I have been saying it for 2-3 months...I would do that in a second and not blink
