3rd? I don't think he goes in the first, but I also don't think he gets by Cleveland at some point in the 2nd.
I just think that because this draft will be so full of Round 2 guys with 1st round Grades that can make immediate impacts, Colt McCoy will not be a priority for anyone until possibly Round 3.
Looks like you've edited it alot... I highly doubt the Chiefs go with Williams over Bulaga. Just because it's Kansas City.. Jimmy Clausen SHOULD go to Buffalo, but probably won't. Jacksonville has come and said they've taken Dez Bryant OFF their draft board. I think 20 is too low for Earl Thomas. With major needs at LB, CB, and S, the Eagles opt for a huge-mauling lineman?? .... Great job thinking like Andy Reid would! Seriously Interesting choice for Arizona, although I think they have faith in Matt Leinart. IMO the Browns would trade up WITH Arizona to get McCoy though. I think Taylor Mays slips out of the first round, but he definitely would be a perfect Roy Williams replacement. Interesting choice for Minnesota... But it probably won't happen since they have good starters at DE and good depth. However it would be a great value, so you never know...
If JPP falls that far and we pick Griffin over him i would be really dissapointed, both are superior athletes but JPP has more upside probanly more than anyone in the draft. I think that great coaching from the start could (unlike GHolston) could be the difference since they are similar prospects
Same fallacy as the SOJ in the draft. Peterson and Edwards are gone. Poili isn't that big of an idiot. Agreed. Gailey collects athletes and Claussen won't be able to move the way Gailey would like/Claussen will need to behind the Bills' OLine. Del Rio does seem like the kind of guy who would buy into the "Dez Bryant has too many problems" deal. Too many people are basing Bryant's problems on the fact that he lied to the NCAA because he thought he was going to get kicked off the team for talking to Dieon. Although, the fact that he was confused by the situation should be a good reason to give him a dumbed down playbook for the first season or so. Agreed.
Not sure how Iupati ended up there, I had Wilson there earlier. I think it's possible that Philly goes OL early to fortify that line for Kolb but CB is their most glaring need in my opinion. K, decided with McCourty going to the Eagles (bit of a reach imo), Iupati now going with the Jets, Everson Griffen going to the Ravens, Brandon Graham to the Cardinals.. McCoy exits the 1st round. I hate how changing 1 player leads to 5 other changes, but so it goes.
I really like JPP but it's a huge risk/reward type player for me. He could be a perennial pro-bowler but I'm scared he could bust.
You should have left it instead of constantly editing it so it meets with everyone else's approval.. Andy Reid has historically gone for lineman early and often even when other positions are expected. They have some issues in the interior line and Iupati is the kind of the player that would be a PERFECT fit on the Eagles. I liked Iupati going to the Eagles. Original, possible, and makes sense
I'm open to changes and considerations. I'm not as knowledgeable as some of the draft guys on here so I'll take the opinions and edit towards accuracy. My feelings won't get hurt if someone tells me 'why do you have x player going to y team if z position is their biggest need?' By no means am I shuffling picks so I can get board approval, although it seems that way. I'm not too aware of Reid's/Eagles drafting tendencies. I checked out an Eagles forum a bit earlier and everyone was crying for help in the secondary so I thought McCourty or a comparable CB would be a better option. Like I said earlier, my mock isn't so much a guideline towards how the NFL should draft in the first round through my extensive research, because I did very little homework towards this. It's just football's version of a NCAA tournament bracket where I can look back and be happy about what I predicted right, and laugh at what I did horribly wrong.
