Good times. I was running this event for former Redskins WR Gary Clark, who was talking about a summer camp he was having. Anyway, one of the players that was there with him was former NYJ Cornerback John Booty. I know he was not a great player, but it was cool to meet him. He was really kind and a cool guy. Good times!

Yeah, he said this 2010 Jets team is the most talented he has ever seen in New York. He also said he played for a few teams, but considers himself a Jet because they drafted him. He is going to be a DB coach for Gary Clark's camp.

NYJ Cornerback from 88-90. He played with some other teams afterwards. He was nothing special at all.

He was opposite James Hasty... I don't know how old you are but guys my age would remember him. He wasn't terrible but I'd say average.

He was drafted in the DB heavy Jets draft of 1988 along with Hasty, Eric McMillan (who earned all-pro rookie honors but kind of piltered out after that) and there was another corner they drafted that year who was a total bust, forgot his name. Booty was a decent back-up, his best game came against the Steelers that year when he blocked a punt which led to a TD and made another big play also, a fumble recovery or something like that. That was a big game, the first ever Jets win against the Steelers. I'm also pretty sure he was the first Jet to wear # 42 after Bruce Harper......
