I wouldn't mind so much if we can land Troupe or Thomas with our 2nd pick. I think both picks have to be defense though. Unless someone drops on the OL that shouldn't have.
It would probably be more like our 1, 4, 6 and Leon for #43 and #45. Or, our #1 and #2 for #43, #45, and maybe we can nab a 5th or 6th also.
I was just making fun of steve, he used to say that about 6 times a day. Must have been before he jumped all over Berrys schlong.
A big sleeper the Jets have looked into is DT Travis Timmons from UCF. He apparently is being eyed heavily by Leslie Frazier of the Vikings. The Ravens, Jets, Saints, and Vikings are some of the several mentioned teams. What do you guys think of him? I read he is a 6'3" 300 pound guy with 5.1 speed.
Eh I'll make my draft day "prediction(s)" If the Jets don't sign Taylor I'll predict they draft OLB in the first round if any of these names are still on the board, or within a reasonable trade up range of say 5 spots or so. In order of availability Brandon Graham (would be a big surprise if he fell low enough for us to tradeup for), Sergio Kindle (likely to be available even as low as 29, but should atleast fall to tradeup range), Jerry Hughes (not the physical speciman but his motor and apptitude make up for what he lacks in size, I'd rather have a high motor lower physical player than a low motor higher physical player, see Ghoulston for a more extreme example). Second round No Doubt Defensive line. Draft is deep in defensive linemen and a quality DL will be available at a high value draft slot.
I think somebody (Denver/Buffalo) will want to trade up for Tebow. The Jets will move back about ten spots and pick a #4 and #6. The Jets will take either Morgan Burnett or Linval Joseph.
