Just merge this if it does not deserve its own thread.

Tanny also said he expects him to be a Jet but you never know when that phone rings.

With Tanny, a valuable member of the team probably means, look out he's about to be traded.

Even Leon admits he's not fully healthy. Great.

Meaningful as in meaningful to trade and get a pick in return or meaningful as in a football player on this team? Guess we won't know till draft day whatever happens I'm fine with.

Excellent! This can put all the talk but Leon not being with the team this year to bed. Leon was the team's offensive MVP not too long ago. The amount of playmakers on this offense scary.

I agree, Tanny saying stuff like that is the kiss of death anymore.

Maybe change the title of this thread. I got scared and thought that he actually resigned long term, not just signed the tender.

Why would that scare you, per se? After he failed to even get an offer on the 2nd round tender, I'd say a long term agreement signed today would max out at $3 million per season, and would likely be for closer to $2 million per. I don't think Keels would take that, but if he were to sign long term as of right now, that's all he'd get.

    "when i'm healthy"

    when? week 4?

He will not be the same player he was. That injury was insanely catastrophic to his career.

I guarantee you he can't be traded because no team wants a change of pace RB who can KR who isn't healthy enough to run yet, with TC 3 months away.

What people will be saying about Leon this season will be funny.

I try to be as optimistic as they come but with this line-

It's hard to see Leon staying, that doesn't exactly give a player a huge boost in confidence.

Can anyone post Tannys comments about Carrie before he was traded.

Leon iks a good player and a great advertisement up to the last season of getting your head down and working hard but his and his agents attitude have been all wrong. Players have to buy into the Rex philosophy of the team is everything and hsi posturing about the deal has been pathetic tbh. He isn't as good as he thinks in an NFL that is now rb by platoon.

take your pick.....Thursday/Friday (if the Jets want to use the pick to move up into the 2nd/3rd round)...Saturday (if the Jets are content with making a selection with the pick their given)

    just my hunch.
