I always played 2k baseball b/c my friend gets all the 2K games for free. I've never played the show.
I got ranked sub 35th in MLB2k After that, you can't get a game, when you crush them, they turn the PS3 off.
This I know. I've faced so many 1st inning quitters, its ridiculous. Thing is, you can quit in the 1st on "The Show" without penalty. No loss, no nothing... 2K sucks. What took you so long?
Your tellin me. Is The Show really all that? I played 09 a few times and enjoyed it. I know its been hands down the winner in the baseball category for a few years now, but I remember there were lots of issues when it first came out. Have they patched it yet? I've been avoiding buying a PS3 for nearly 2 years now. But I'm at the point where it has become worth it. The Show is one main selling point, as well as the PSP Compatibility and the ability to expand your hard drive as you see fit.
I stand corrected. I had 3 disconnects in tonight, 2 of the 3 games I was winning. The last game I was up 11-0. Im beyond pissed, the servers they put out have been piss poor. All my games that dropped, my connection never did and it just rerouted me back to the lobby. Their online is such bullshit its ridiculous.
Sci, there's no hitting tutorial. In 2k baseball, the left stick is like the batter's eye...basically the left stick represents an invisible circle, and if you guess the location, as the pitcher throws, the spot in the K zone is revealed. How does this work in the show? I was reading the difficulty and if i set it on Legend it says "Using left stick is critical to get good contact" I was doing practice hiting against Halladay and couldn't get the ball in the air.
I had a perfect game going into the 8th with Aaron Poreda, and Chris Coghlan hit a slow roller down the third base line and Chase Headley (who has an absolute gun) threw the ball like a pussy and Coghlan beat it out. BULLSHIT! If you guys play offline franchises, I recommend trading for Poreda.
