With Denver more picks and need of WR; and with everyone having us drafting a WR. Anyone think we could trade down for 2 2nd round picks or a combo of others?

not sure it will happen....but i'd love for us to trade down into the top half of the 2nd round and pick up some additional picks....depending how the board plays out.

Possibly, but it depends who is left on the board at 29 and what picks teams are offering.
I'm sure Rex already has his targets marked out.

Jets have placed themselves in a win now situation. A lot of the players contracts will expire at the end of this yr. I still believe Jets will strike again in a SB bid. I wouldn't be surprised if we stayed put, but I have a feeling we will strike again and move up in the draft, putting forth quality over quantity with immediate bounty, probably a pass rusher.

This draft is deep defensivly from what i hear so that wouldn't be a bad move, although i have a funny feeling B Thomas and LW will be involved in draft day moves and we may move up instead of back.

    We can only hope.
I'd love to see Brunell here to help Sanchez.

Trading down is not the Jets way. We trade UP! We give up later rounds/lesser talent to grab the bigger prospect. We got REVIS, HARRIS, GREENE and SANCHEZ this way among other excellent players. I want to move UP not DOWN. Moving down are for wimps trying to field a good special teams unit.

It would be nice to trade up but at what cost? Remember our salary cap and players we have to resign next year - and thats without mentioning Gholston, trading up is not a guarantee of success.

every team will try to trade down during draft day i say we give it a shot unless there is a great DL or OL. if kyle wilson falls to 29 i say pick him. we are in a situation where w can pick the best avaible

i'd cream in my pants if Wilson falls to 29 and we select him.....i know we have other depth holes to fill....but you can never have enough CBs....especially in Rex's defensive schemes.

Carolina comes to mind they only got Matt Moore. I could see him being traded for a 6th or a move up in a later round.

    This....all of it.
There may be some real value as well, if as I think so many teams will look to trade down. If this happens, I can't see us trading down. I could see Leon being dangled as a carrot though.

This. If Joseph, Griffen or Sapp could be available at the top of the second, I would love to move back and gain an extra pick.

Agreed. If Taylor does not sign, we are gonna have to find a pass rusher at all costs. Its the only key thing left that has not been addressed

I thought I'd read somewhere we get his rights whether he signs or not, no? And he then has until June something before he's locked in for a year at 110% of his previous base salary.

    Or something like that...

    Someone want to clarify this?
