The only time I can say I was this pumped was when we got Favre, but even this surpasses this right now. This team is loaded up and oh wait we haven't even hit the DRAFT What if Darren Sharper is a jet? I mean there are just so many crazy thoughts I'm having about this team and its only April. I'm just ready to hit somebody. Jets football is the real deal Lets goo!
That's cool and all... but I think at least 5 other people have made this thread. I'm pretty sure 99 percent of the members of this board are psyched for next season. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=55747 http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=55725 http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=55782 OK so 3 that aren't too old, but still...
I'll be even more excited after next weekend. And then even more excited when Sanchez starts running and the knee is above 90%. Then I'll probably have a permanent stiffy after watching Hard Knocks going into week 1.
I was pretty excited when Bill Parcells was hired. But yeah, I'm super pumped about this season more than any other. Even better is we get some great pre-season pumpage with Hard Knocks - that show is going to rock and I can't wait.
I'm very underwhelmed this season and expect us to split the division, hopefully finish .500. Playoffs probably out of the picture.
I was this excited in 1999 and 2003. But this year is up with those two, no doubt about it. Sanchez is the wild card as far as I can see. If he continues the progress he made in the playoffs then this team can do great things. As always with the Jets, I'm praying the injury bug doesn't strike us down as it has so many times before...
I was more pumped for the 99 season, everything seemed to align itself for us to win that year. I was also a lot younger then and knew a lot less about the game so I know that things on paper aren't always what the on field product is. However there is no reason to think that we shouldn't be among the favorites to make a serious run towards the SB. My feeling is that until somebody knocks off Manning regardless of what we do they're the team to beat in the AFC. Same goes for the Pats in the division.
I've been a fan since 2002 and I can honestly say this upcoming season is the most excited and optimistic I've ever been about this team.
Yes. Every season I'm this excited. But in terms of expectations I would say going into 1999 my expectations were higher
I am excited about this upcoming season, with a mix of apprehention. Anytime you have a large turnover in personell it takes time to find chemistry. If there wasn't a year for Sanchez to miss some workouts its this year. With that being said, in REX I TRUST.
