I did not say he was the best safety in the draft; just my favorite. The fact that I have clarify is a sad state of affairs. I think Mike Mayock ranking Earl Thomas ahead of Berry has somehow solidified Thomas as the clear cut 2nd best safety in the draft. If that did not happen I believe the game film and offseason workouts would have had Eric Berry at the top with Nate Allen, Earl Thomas and Morgan Burnett in a second tier fighting for 2nd place. I'm not on the Earl Thomas bandwagon that Mayock is driving. I think Burnett projects as a better pro prospect. So we'll see who is the real retard in a couple of years.
I don't give a damn if you're related to Morgan Burnett. There's no reason why anyone should like him over Eric Berry. Eric Berry is the best safety prospect since Sean Taylor. No one's driving anything. You make it seem like Mike Mayock is the only scout that thinks Earl Thomas is an elite safety prospect. Gil Brandt, who is probably the most respected scout in the business, has Eric Berry as a tier one prospect and Earl Thomas as a tier two prospect. Where is Morgan Burnett? Tier seven. It sure as hell won't be me.
