I never would have thought to post this thread before I overheard someone talking about the Holmes trade making our receiving corps. better than the Patriots, but when I started to think about it, it made sense. What do you think?

This. Mark Sanchez is no Tom Brady yet, and that makes all the difference here.

The Pats have the best QB. You can have the best WR's ever but if you can not adequately get them the ball what good are they?

I haven't heard any reports on Wes Welker in a while....when will he be ready? I can't see him being the same this year...his whole game relies on lateral movement and that is just not possible months removed from an ACL tear.

I've got to still give Randy and Wes the advantage over Braylon and Santonio. However, Jerricho Cotchery and Dustin Keller are far and away better than Julian Edelman and Alge Crumpler. If I'm the Patriots, I draft Jermaine Gresham in the 1st round (especially with the injury to Wes Welker).

If the Pats' receivers are healthy, I still have to give them the edge. But it's now closer than I ever thought it would be.

Patriots have the better starters. Our #3 is better. Toss up on the rest.

Welker totally tore up his knee and also had a serious shoulder injury that he had surgery on. There's a good chance that even if he's on the field, he won't actually be ready to be the player he is/was for a good chunk of this season.

Moss is better than anybody the Jets have, but the Jets have better depth now. If you flip-flopped our receivers for theirs, Brady would be unstoppable.

I think our superior o line/running game makes our passing game better than the Pats-we might actually be a balanced offense this year

time will tell of course but I have NEVER been so excited going into a season as I am now

Before I make a decision on that I have to actually see these guys in action in 2010. Who knows which players fell off a bit from the previous year or improved...? That being said, the Jets seem to have the edge based on prior performances.

Pats. Can you say any of our receivers are better than Randy Moss? Or Wes Welker? No.

We have the better TE though, by a mile.
