unless they take braylon in a straight swap im not interested the jets current crop of recievers is adequate and the draft should provide an oppurtunity to add someone decent
Im guessing the Santonio Holmes will calm the talks down until next year when Marshall is released by the Broncos.
I really couldn't care less if he went to Miami because we have the one DB in the league who can shut him down every time we play. That's why I'm praying that the Dooshfins select Dez Bryant in the 1st because it means that their 2010 1st rounder becomes a non-factor when playing against us.
I'd rather it not happen but we do have Revis Christ who neutralizes ANY WR we face. God what a luxury to have him.
Miami is not giving up the 12th pick for Marshall. If they get him its going to be for less than a 1st.
Has the Santonio deal killed Marshall's trade value? I can't see the Broncos getting more than a 3rd for him at this point and even that would seem like a big stretch.
This has got to be the best part about having Revis. I could really care less about the Dolphins getting Marshall. It really won't matter all that much.
Revis would be the first reason why I wouldn't really care about the Dolphins getting Marshall. The second reason would be Chad Henne.
Marshall will not be had for less than a 2nd. The Santonio thing was a freak unprecedented incident that had a ton of things factoring in (ie big ben raping women). Marshall is an uber elite wr who made Orton go from looking like a complete joke to a top 10 qb. Whatever team gets him for a 2nd will still make out like a bandit. The only team im really afraid of him going to is New England because even our defense would struggle against that.
i was hoping that when i logged in the thread name was "Jets no longer interested in Jason Taylor" too good to be true...............
They have Randy and Wes. They just can not accomodate Marshall, who's bread and butter is in the short passing game, just like Wes.
I think we should get Brandon AND T.O. now wouldn't that be a team? We could do 5 WR Hail Mary's all day long.
Moss said he doesnt think hes going to be with New England much longer. Next year being an uncapped year and all means it would make an excellent transaction period for the Pats. Welker is going to miss a chunk of the season so they could run 2 elite reciever sets with Moss and Marshall, then get Welker back in time for the end of the season and playoffs. Then after the season youd probably see Moss move on or possibly stick around another year (im not really sure how his contract looks) Of course im speculating this based off of Moss saying he thinks his time with the Pats is coming to an end, mixed with rumors of the Pats wanting in the Marshall chase if it involves a 2nd rounder.
