    [IMG] VS. [IMG]

    Game 1:Tuesday @ 8:40PM
    John Maine, RHP (0-0, 7.20) v. Greg Smith, LHP (0-1, 9.00)

    Game 2:Wednesday @ 8:40PM
    Jon Niese, LHP (0-1, 4.50) v. Aaron Cook, RHP (0-1, 6.75)

    Game 3:Thursday @ 3:10PM
Mike Pelfrey, RHP (1-0, 3.00) v. Jorge De La Rosa, LHP (1-0, 0.00)

I don't care how bad the Mets are this year, if they are going to respectable AT ALL this year they need to start winning series. Hopefully they can win 2 out of 3. I'm not holding my breath, but I can still hope.

The Mets season might actually be over at the end of this series.

It's actually pretty said that the Mets REALLY need to win this series because this season seems like its already going down the drains.

MParty you might have to change your sig to fire Minaya next.

A season is not over after 1 game or 50 games. Quit your pissing and moaning, and get behind the team, rather then spitting on them because they lost a couple.

We were spitting on them before the season even started.
It's not like I don't want the team to win. I'm saying it's sad that the third series of the season could really set the tone for the rest of the year.

And I'm liking the sig Mparty.

Ike Davis is hitting .385 so far this year.
I'm hoping he gets some time this year at 1st base. I really don't like Murphy there, and I REALLLLLLY don't like Jacobs there.

Basically, Jacobs/Catalanotto/Matthews JR should not be on this team. They should call up Davis, Nick Evans and F-Mart. I still wonder wtf happen to Evans. I think he's at AA now, he got such a raw deal. When Murphy is rdy, he can split time with Davis, but there is no way he should be the starting 1B.

F-Mart needs more seasoning, the guy is like 20 or 21 years old and he's up to AAA already. Davis is probably closer to being MLB ready, but I'd let him sit in the minors for a month or two more just to see how he handles it.

Murph is a solid backup that can play 1b 3b and, in a pinch, OF. He's the type of role player you need to win a championship.

I didn't mind the Matthews JR trade, it's just who we gave up to get him... Brian Stokes IMO is going to have a real breakout year, and we gave him away for GMJ..GMJ alone at that.

Jacobs is a stop gap. He has the skill to be good in the league but he's sucked ever since he got traded from FLA.

Catalanotto has a rep for being a half-decent PH, he's not off to a good start, but he has a purpose, if he can produce.

What i'm upset about, is the fact that Jenrry Mejia is in our fucking bullpen. This kid is supposed to be a starter of the future, and instead he's wasting away in the Bullpen instead of pitching games in AAA. All cause we gave up Stokes for GMJ.

    So sick of Omar.

Mets down 2 - 0 after one inning, I'm loving these two out hits that the other teams always seem to get.

6 - 0 and counting in favour of the Rockies in the Bottom of the 3rd.

You know what? If they're gonna suck, I'd rather them suck this way then some boring way. Let's lose 8-0 every game. That'll get people fired real quick.

I'm wondering why they wasted all that money on Bay. I guess to keep fans coming?

This team is going nowhere fast and to overpay a 31 year old OF seems silly when there's no pitching staff.

I usually try to be optimistic in these threads, because there's more than enough negativity, but this season is going nowhere. I would say 4th place and no better than 3rd.

Tulowitski and Nick Johnson have the same song playing when they step up to the plate...

At least Nick Johnson played it for his daughter.

Castillo slams his helmet and will receive a 100 dollar fine...
    hahahaha really MLB?
