Too easy  I know the players you guys want, this isn't my first rodeo, so I pulled them back by design
Sean Weatherspoon cannot play 3-4 OLB. He's 6-1 240. That's an ILB in this system. He's too small for the outside.
Now that we traded for Holmes, our weakest position (after week 4) are DE, Pass rushing LB, OL Depth and Nickle back. Assuming that we do sign Taylor, my pick would be Odrick. If Taylor does not sign then I might go with Sapp although it might be a bit high for him.
Yea that's a little stout for our purposes huh. Great player, not a great fit... oh well. Strikes me as a good replacement for David Harris if Tanny goes crazy and trades him for Haynesworth (please god no!).
They do play in the 3-4, but in different styles of the 3-4. Ryan likes big, powerful OLBs like Terrell Suggs. Everson Griffen is very similar to Suggs. What I like most about him is that he's about 275 pounds and he's more athletic than most 240 pound linebackers. Versatility is huge in our scheme. The guy's also strong enough to stick his hand in the ground and play end in certain situations.
I know, I know...still Weatherspoon isn't a 3-4 linebacker, even in the schemes that Harrison and Dumervil play in. Dumervil has always been a hell of a pass rusher. ...and Harrison just kind of came out of no where.
For me, it would be a choice between Griffen and McCourty. Joseph and C Thomas are big time reaches at this point. I think I go with McCourty because Rex can find somebody to rush the passer later.
