Santonio Holmes a Jet - For a 5th Round Pick!

This actually makes more sense than the idea that no team wanted to send a 5th to Pitt for Holmes.

 

I couldn't figure out why they didn't shop him more. No way someone wouldn't have given more than a 5th for him. Clearly it was the BJ pics.

For a fifth round pick, I think 8 games is adequate compensation if he's playing up to his abilities in all of them.

This is the thing that the media hasn't even wrapped their heads around yet. Yesterday many of the talking heads were picking us to draft a WR in the 1st round. Now we have a Super Bowl MVP in Santonio Holmes that only cost us a 5th round pick. Hmmmm, Golden Tate for a 1st or Santonio Holmes for a 5th. That's a tough one...

According to the Steelers they offered him league-wide. Alot of teams don't want to get involved in this guys issues.

I think he's worth the pick, but don't be surprised if/when he gets a full year for another mess-up. This is not a slam dunk.
