Obviously extensions will be handed out to Revis, Mangold, Brick our 3 most important players on the team 2011 will be a critical year. Now we got the guys with 1 year contracts and a reason to prove that they are worth a long-term deal Holmes A.C. Braylon Leon Pool (I guess i'll add him here if he stays healthy could have a decent season) The most intriguing for 2011 is Holmes vs. Braylon The organization wants Braylon to scratch and claw for that #1 spot and with Holmes around as well it will be tough for Braylon to prove his worth, but if he improves a lot then I can see him being here But my problem is will we be able to afford all these guys? Eventually we can cut Bryan Thomas, Faneca, and save nearly 5 million dollars in Cap Space So we do you expect us to do when 2011 comes around?
I didn't want a poll, I just wanted a discussion about what we should do, do we HAVE to have a poll to satisfy your needs if so i'll do it
i'm kind of frustrated we didn't just get the mangold/revis contracts over and done with. that being said, the 3 you mentioned will hopefully be there. As for all the newcomers, time will tell.
We're already thinking about 2011? No thanks. I'm too excited for 2010, and could care less what happens in 2011 at this point.
Going into 2013 we only have Calvin Pace, Bart Scott, and Mark Sanchez locked up. What the hell are we going to do at the other 50 spots?? We are screwed.
It's nice to speculate about all of this, but we're going to need to know where all of these players are after the 2010 season before we can realistically guess at it - and also we'll need to know the details of a new CBA. My guess is that the 2 players that have the best chance of being locked up in a new deal before 2011 are Mangold and Revis. The rest won't even get a flirt from Tanny until after the 2010-11 postseason and Super Bowl have been played, and after a new CBA has been agreed upon.
yea true the other 12 poster where trying to beat you in posting a thread about 2011. thank god you where quick on the keyboard
I'd say our priorities are: 1. Revis 2. Ferguson 3. Mangold 4. Harris 5. Holmes (if he performs) 6. Cromartie 7. Edwards Thoughts?
The Center is the captain of the line, especially in Sanchez's case. I think Mangold is that good too. Normally I'd agree with the idea but this is a different case.
As of right now I would agree. But we haven't seen what is going to happen in the draft yet. Harris might not be as important come April 25th.
