I think we raped the Steelers with this steal of a deal. He had a 1200+ yard season and all we gave up is someone who probably won't be on Steelers squad come September 2011. This was an unbelievable trade. Santonio is still ONLY 26 and has 5-6 prime years before he starts to decline. U thought Randy Moss was a steal? Yeah, well we now have our own version of that trade. Sure, Santonio might not be Randy Moss esque, but we gave up a 5th round draft choice where probably only 5% of the players become starters in the league and have a prolonged career.

I'm not sure how long we hang on to this guy. He might end up being a rental depending on contract negotiations. I don't know if we can sign all of these WRs in the next few years. The bonus for us is that he'll need to play his way into a big contract this year, whether we are the ones who give it to him or not. If he can keep his nose clean and play like he's been playing, who knows? I think its a good deal for us even if we only have him this year.

The Jets will more than likely take a rotational nose tackle, a defensive end, and a nickel corner in this draft. We've already filled our two biggest needs: receiver and corner. The Jets have to bring in a defensive end this year and next year.
