Pulled a paragraph from the Bleacher Report: "There are some seasoned football watchers that are looking to justify the logic of this move by the Steelers. I can't see it. It is a great move by New York and a colossal blunder by the suits in Steeltown." This guy has had some off the field issues however he is only 26 years old and prone to making mistakes. I do not know if calling him a douche bag or a piece of garbage is an accurate description. He can ball, he just needs to mature and know that the crap that people under the radar get away with everyday can't work for him.
There probably wont be a suspension since he was not guilty and the charges were not valid. Cant fault a guy for being in the wrong place at the wrong time occasionally.
Post is reporting that the 4 game suspension is now a done deal. No link yet http://www.nypost.com/ It's on the Breaking News banner..
A little more info for the character police: Santonio Holmes Born: March 3, 1984 Birthplace: Belle Glade, FL Height: 5-11 Weight: 192 lbs. High School: Glades Central HS [Belle Glade, FL] College: Ohio State Experience: 4th season / WR Santonio Holmes, Jr. born to Patricia Brown and Santonio Holmes, Sr is a very devoted father of 3 (2 boys, 1 girl), Santonio III (born before Santonio graduated high school), Nicori, and Saniya. He is a dedicated brother to 3 younger boys, Kenneth, DeāVontae, and Jay, all raised by their mom, Patricia. He lived with his grandmother from the time he was in the 6th grade until his junior year of high school. He lost his grandpa, one of his best friends, during his junior year of college. When he is not playing football or working out, he likes to hang out with his kids and family, play video games, watch movies and play with his blue pit bull, Rocky. He has recently become more involved in reading the bible and learning about life and history. Santonio is involved in the community of Belle Glade, Fl. In 2007, he and his cousin, Fred Taylor (New England Patroits) donated $10k dollars worth of Toys and gift certificates for uniforms to the local Boys and Girls Club for their annual Christmas Party. The event was such a success, they decided to do this every year going forward. In 2008, Santonio and Fred came together again and donated over 200 Thanksgiving Turkey dinners to needy families in the Belle Glade area. Once again, they teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club and the local Winn Dixie to add to another successful event. Talk about the duality of man.
this more then makes up for giving kerry rhodes away altho how were we able to acquire holmes since u cant trade for a player you couldnt sign as an ufa
Just to keep the Jets from going undefeated, or for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. You Pick-
I just don't recall him violating the substance-abuse policy....must have missed that one or maybe it is to keep the Jets grounded...lol
Dude... That stipulation only applies to players who ARE UFAs. As in, no sign-and-trades for UFAs under the F8P.
Just read a quote on a Pats fansite that says "the Jets have a better WR core then us with Welker out" Only with Welker out? PALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I wish I can go on finheaven and see what they are saying....They banned me 2 years ago..For no reason.
