No, he makes trades that Madden wouldn't do for Justin McCariens happen.

Sorry for throwing the JC bomb.

I am expecting Sanchez to have 75% completions, 8,000 yards, and 125 TDs with 3 INTs.

Then we lose in the AFC title game

    Oh by the way....

Agreed, I mean how many LT's get drafted at 32 anyways?

Yeah and if he is traded as soon as he signs, I don't think the league would appreciate that very much.

Its not SPECIFICALLY the deep ball he has trouble with, its all balls. Those are just the ones that stick in your mind. He dropped PLENTY of quick slants this year...him in that role is wasting the one thing he does for this offense, and that is that he uses his great speed and size to stretch the field. Thats the only reason he has value.

When has he ever been used like that? I can only remember one play of him coming out of the slot last season against the Falcons and it ended in a 2-3 yard loss. I know he runs a lot of slant routes but he's still running those from the #1 position.

His size isn't his only skill set, and with Schottenheimer's love of the deep routes for the outside WRs, it makes much more sense to put the shiftier WR in the slot to work the underneath routes while the defense is spread out.

You and metsfan make good points, but it seems like Schotty should start playing to his talents. He did drop some easy ones, but has a much better time when he is catching the ball in front of him, and not over his shoulder. Holmes should now be the one spreading the field while we keep the big guy back for blocking and short routes. Just my opinion.

Holy crap. And he's a PR, too!!!!!!

I can't read this thread fast enough to keep up, so I'll just post now how excited I am!!!!! (I'm only on page 12!)

I'm using lots of exclamation points!!!!!

#1 defense + Cro/healthy Jenk(/JTaylor), top 3 O-line, Excellent 3-headed backfield, Top-3 WRs, decent receiving TE with upside, and a blossoming young QB.

    HOLY CRAP

i'm now not going to sleep, because you asked an impossible question.

    I hate you.

EDIT: Wow this didn't take me long to think of this - I'm going to fuck Kate Beckinsale in the war room before the draft begins, then lounge in a beanbag chair drinking beer while Tanny makes another GM Mr.Butthurt on April 22nd.

They'll still want Sanchez to work the check down and intermediate routes more. Braylon would draw the double teams that would free up Holmes in the slot and give Sanchez an option with better hands underneath.

Mike Tannenbaum gets a 4th & a 7th for a Kerry Rhodes, a disgruntled safety who lost his starting spot last year and clearly was no longer in the teams long-term plans. He then acquires Santonio Holmes, a 26-year-old Super Bowl MVP coming off a career year in which he had 1,250 receiving yards, for a 5th round pick. Is that even fair?

I wonder how Channing Crowder feels about this?

He should probably pretend he's pregnant to keep Jason Taylor from leaving town.
