I don't see the Leon thing on any of the major sports site, or NY beat writer blogs, I'm going to attempt to sleep. This better not be a dream.

^^I saw that. Someone must be bucking the trend and opting for pot instead of meth tonight.

Yea, the fact that Florio wrote that proved it would never happen.

I'm very very happy with this trade. I'm wondering where we go now in the draft?

Just as a conversation....our combined draft would get us what?

Well on paper this is a steal. I just hope it isn't toilet paper.

This misconception that the Jets can bring anyone in and Rex can fix them up does make we want to kick my dog. That is going to bite the Jets sooner or later if they keep it up.

16th overall pick, I think. Maybe 17th now that we dropped our 5th rounder.

This one shouldn't be a matter of wether or not Rex can fix Holmes' attitude. We picked up a 1300 yd, #1 WR for a 5th round selection to play in the slot. Holmes really doesn't have to do much aside from stay out of jail for this to avoid being a failure of a trade...even then...

Stack the OL and DL then go after a OLB, CB and/or Safety then wait till next year too fill up on all the stacked WR's especially if Holmes or Edwards aren't on the team.

This is insane. Even if Leon is to be included, at a later date, as part of this deal its still a good one by Tanny.

I wonder which guy will be here in 2011: Holmes or Edwards?

Who needs to be resigned: Revis, Mangold, Brick, Harris.... maybe neither?

There's no such thing as a future attachment to a trade. The Leon business would have to be consummated before the deal was signed.

There is no way that Tannenbaum lets a franchise left tackle walk. He would let Holmes and Edwards both walk before he let Brick go.

You really just gotta love how aggressive Tanny is in seeing a need and filling for it. They say trades are never made in the NFL, but he's essentially acquired Revis, Harris, Sanchez, Greene, Keller, Edwards, Holmes, Jenkins, and Cromartie all by trade--that's absolutely amazing. That's not even including solid moves for Jones, Favre, and Sheppard.
