Cardinals lost Boldin...the Saints have great receivers but I'd call some of them a product of the system, and the Vikings may be better now, but we have the talent to be the best if they play to their potential. Still...ours is now up there in the top tier.
In all likelihood, yes. If we don't sign one of them next year, and don't sign an equivalent FA, we'll get some fantastic compensation. We get a HIGHER pick than we just gave up if Holmes gets his shit together and bolts for another team.
Just look at this.... At any one time, Sanchez can drop back in the pocket and have these options on the field at the same time: Braylon Edwards Jerricho Cotchery Santonio Holmes Dustin Keller Ladainian Tomlinson Leon Washington .....and this is a defensive minded team! WOW!
just read that the suspension is for substance abuse. failed drug test. someone needs to get this guy a wizzinator asap.
see that's the thing that's great, instead of getting Marshall and paying a king's ransom for him and basically having 2 similar players that need to play on the outside to be effective (I don't think Marshall or Edwards is suited for the slot), we have 3 good wideouts who are ALL different types of players. Cotch is an underneath, YAC type of guy, Edwards is a big deep/red zone threat and Holmes is a burner who has good lateral quickness and big play ability. The possibilities on offense are endless with this trade.
If anybody in this league could whip this guy into shape, I have confidence in Rex. Thats the thing, character issues just don't bother me anymore. Everybody loves Rex, so it'll all work out.
No one knows the formula for sure, but it generally doesn't matter. Either one would likely sign a contract that would net us a great comp pick.
fucking monopoly money type shit. WE TRADED A 2010 5th for a 2011 3rd AND we got SANTONIO HOLMES FOR a MINIMUM OF 12 GAMES? HOLY SHIT
it's amazing that Tanny has been able to turn this offseason into a live version of a PS3 "Madden" offseason thus far. And it's only April.
Who will be available to play for 16 games according to the league office and didn't tell the Arizona fanbase to poison themselves. But yea, that does make the trade so much better.
