If the guy didn't want to be a starter there is no reason to play the game, well, except for money but who needs that? Give him his chance if that is what he wants.
I actually need a backup QB for my flag football league. He might be able to compete for the starting position.
I find something interesting with people. Because Clemens has been a class act, some say "give him a chance, NFL. He might be able to become a starter one day, but you'll really have to work with him." If Clemens was a douchebag, the entire fanbase would be in unanimous agreement that he isn't any good and the Jets can get a better backup QB in FA.
I slip between those 2 categories. Hes a lovely guy, class act etc... but hes in no way an NFL starter, however due to being such a nice guy and team player, he is a good back up, unless you actually need him to play :wink:
He's a class act that would be part of the problem on any team he starts for. So I guess they won't be needing Clemens.
maybe clemens would be happier if the jets gave him and gholston their own bench with their name on it, kind of like you see in parks
What tape would Clemens like a prospective team to watch? I have a feeling if we had a backup quarterback competition between Brunell, Ainge and Clemens, Clemens would come in last.

I would love to see him traded to a team like Oakland, San Francisco or Cleveland... He hasn't proven to be an effective backup, but I'd guess some team would take a shot at him as a competitor for a starting job.

Clemens had a chance to be the starter he just happens to suck and be incapable of it. He needs to know that the very first criteria to being an NFL quarterback is to be better than Kellen Clemens.
