I don't understand that menatallity? I may not like the guy but to be honest imsulting the fanbase isn't really that bad. We've had bigger pieces of shit play for the Jets before and we've supported them. I don't know how I ever cheered for a guy like Gasteneau or Damien Robinson?
Big deal man. He did some trash talking after a bunch of losses and was over excited with the 4-5 wins (out of 20+ games) against us. Don't we bash the dolphins also? Only difference is, we never get media coverage about it. Every Jet player, who is a fan of the Jets as well, will have similar feelings. You always hate your rivals. After beating them more than dozen times, look at where McNabb has landed? Its business. Get over it. Trash talking is part of it. Those who dislike this signing (or offer), grow a pair!
idk i guess it just goes back to mentality. in my everyday life i make fun of every single person i know as much as i can. naturally this leads to those same people making many jokes at my expense. i have always believed that if i can dish it out i sure as hell better be able to take it or i'm just an asshole. the same line of thought applies here.
It was a poor choice of words. I already know we can win without Taylor, so Im just holding on to hope he never wears my favorite Jet Green and White.
Rich's analogies are entertaining...and accurate. If you can't relate to it....Too fucking bad for you, I guess....just move on. Quit embarrassing my country. I'm starting to wonder if i'm the only Canuck poster on this board that isn't a prick....or in any case, a likeable prick
I am also holding out hope that the Jets decide to go the avenue of the draft to find an answer for the pass rush. But if the Jets, Rex in particular, end up signing Taylor and bolster other positions to make the team stronger, then I will trust their judgment until they are proven wrong. Taylor's trash talk isn't enough of a reason for me to bash the move. The Jets in 2009 did more overt trash talking than Taylor has done in his entire career against the Jets.
Blimey...... you must either really like wrestling, or really not have a sense of humour. If it makes you feel any better, as my username suggests I'm not a Canuck. I just live here.
it's the land of free but shitty health care, hot broads, and maple syrup. what's not to love? EDIT: but that's another conversation...let's not derail the thread guys.
That was the title to the article- I quoted a post about his trash talking and inserted the article. I followed that up with a post pertaining to Bart Scott and how we love him and most other teams fans do not. Just a FYI-
I'm afraid I've never seen it as anything other than a bunch of well muscled, skimpily dressed actors rolling around on top of each other a lot. Please don't be offended by my attempting to have a little fun at the expense of anyone too scared of their feelings for men to admit there's even a teeny element of homo-eroticism going on there. As the maple syrup drinking lumberjack says, though, probably for another thread. I'd be happy to take your abuse on the chin in a more appropriate location.
