barring Jason Taylor coming to my house, spitting on my daughter and raping my wife, there is nothing he can say or do that I would take so personal that I would be opposed to him playing for the Jets if he was able to help bring the ever elusive Super Bowl. but maybe I should take football a little more seriously.
I'm sure the San Diego Chargers thought the same thing when they let Michael Turner two years ago. How'd that work out for them? Anyone who doesn't realize this signing represents a significant downgrade at the position for THE SAME PRICE is slightly deluded. Playing behind a new line isn't going to restore the burst or durability of a 30 year old running back with that much tread on his tires. -X-
I love this, wrestling is a perfect analogy. I hated Hogan from the time I was a kid with his stupid yellow trunks and his eat your vitamins bs but the night he turned into a bad guy at Bash at the Beach I stood up on my friends couch cheering and clapping my hands while all my friends were cursing and throwing shit on the floor. To me it was one of the greatest moments in wrestling history. Same thing with Brett Hart, I liked him so much better as a bad guy. I love the fact that Jason Taylorhas witnessed the power of the darkside and is about to join it.
I have in my short time on this site agreed with and enjoyed reading every one of your posts, so you can imagine my disappointment when you started comparing football players with roid-filled oiled-up actors playing out homo-erotic fantasies for hormonal teenage boys with self-worth issues. Please in future stick to talking sense. Thanks.
so i just need to get this straight to be aware of how pathetic some of this fanbase is. if you were told that if the jets made this signing they will win the superbowl next year and that if they didn't they would win 6 games next season you would take the 6 wins because taylor has called all of us stupid before?
i think taylor wants to be a dolphin that bad that he will wait till after the draft. hopefully he does and fins get his replacement and we pull our offer off the table
yeah in hindsight that probably came out wrong. Excuse my rant, but this is day 2 of dealing with the notion that Jason Taylor is likely becoming a NY Jet.
it's gotta be hard to be holding out hope that you might be wanted when he has had the entire jets organization telling him they want him now no matter what happens in the draft.
you need to get past the "hate" (i know how you feel, trust me)....and look at the big picture. The Defense needs a pure pass rushing threat.....and he fills a need. There's certainly more positives to this potential signing...than negatives.
very good, welcome back to rational thought. we have all gone through the initial anger of hearing about the possibility of taylor wearing the green and white.
But by your own admission, you would rather see the team lose without the player. So, you're a bigger non-fan of Jason Taylor than you are a fan of the Jets.
