So in RTTS you have to field? That sucks....in The Show 07 you could go straight to the next at bat.....standing in center field when your team's pitcher continually gives up singles to left and right is maddening.....
I'm pretty sure you can turn that off...or at least change the amount of time you have to spend in the field.
You have to bring up the velocity of your other pitches too, especially the breaking balls. They do this to avoid a situation where your FB is 99 mph and your Changeup is 70.

In The Show 08 you would only field if the ball was going to be hit in your direction, hit or out I was a 3rd baseman that would sometimes not see anything in the field and would just bat. It would also sometime go to you in the field for a strike or a foul ball but I never spent the entire game in the field. I could run through plenty of games in a couple of hours.
Right and they changed that which I think sucks.....I remember playing a ton of games super fast and now it takes 3 or 4 times longer and there is no way to change it.....
No. In '09, you could run the bases, but you couldn't hit for the other players. I stick with franchise mode. I like having complete control over my entire team.
Last night I played my best game to date. (Season mode) CC pitched a 4 hit, 11 k, (CG) shutout. A-Rod hit 3 HR, Tex hit 2 and at 1 point I went Back 2 Back 2 Back 2 Back w/ A-Rod, Tex, Nick J and Swish... Granderson and Jorgie also went yard. Final was 14-0 I made a few vids of it.... It was revenge because I lost my 1st game just the day before.
In perfect timing too. They just had a 12 hour maintenance to fix all the online issues there have been. There are still a few minor issues that affect online leagues, but it looks to be all cleared up...
Good shit. This will be my main game now. I've played the hell out of Battlefield and unlocked everything. When I feel like shooting someone in the face, I'll go back to it. I think I'm going to play a franchise game or two and then play a couple games online.
I just won my first ever online game 2-0. Padres vs. Mariners I completely destroyed Felix Hernandez's stamina by getting deep counts with almost ever one of my batters. I homered with Adrian Gonzalez in the 3rd and had a sac fly with Kyle Blanks in the 8th for a little insurance. He brought in Griffey Jr. to pinch hit and I drilled him in the face, and forced a double play on the next at bat. Mat Latos is dirty, and I closed the door with Heath Bell. It was a really fulfilling win because the guy was talking shit about how bad San Diego is for the first two innings.
