i personally would hate it for him to play for the jets because he has badmouthed the very people who visit this site everyday. Who is he to judge us or our way of chanting for the jets. He mite want to play for the jets but something tells me he would still hate playing for us if we did give him the opportunity. Im not saying im wrong or right but i would juss hate it if we signed a guy who has been disrespecting us and this organization.

Take a look over at the fins message board....priceless. These fucking morons are hysterical...I just counted 10 different....Jason Taylor/Jets threads. They are losing their minds over this.

Plus...just saw on PFT the FIns said they will NOT offer him a contract before the draft. Personally I just think this was a move to try and push the Fins to sign him but it looks like they already called his bluff.

Sorry, I sucked it up and cheered for Bryan Cox. Can't do it for Taylor. If he signs I hope he fails in camp.

I understand that, but Rex is our trash talking coach. I don't want to watch a whiney b*tch every Sunday. Especially a whinbag who is going to be 36 years old and is not that final piece of the puzzle. The jets far exceeded eveyones expectations last year they are looking for the final 4 pieces to put them over the hump (they also need playoff sanchez and who knows if they will get it). I just don't think he is the single answer so what is the point of bringing him in. And yes I trust Rex the guy knows a hell of a lot more about football then I do.

I seriously doubt Taylor would be brought in to start.

you are right. if he were to produce then it would be ok, but im looking to the future as well hes 35 years old. i rather draft someone who rex can mold into a monster pass rusher and that way we can have a solid pass rushed for many years to come.

    Best post in whole thread.

Taylor has played the classic bad guy to jets fans abuse.

Trust RR / MT and that should be enough

Bottom line is, if he helps, let's get him...20 years from now when we have the Super Bowl reunion we won't invite him...

    Too much hate on BT.

As I and others have stated before - he's not a STELLAR player...however he is a STABLE player. Having BT, JT, CP available keeps fresh legs. I am not blind and I can see BT's lack of effective pass blocking but he was solid for the run.

I am not counting on Gladys living up to his potential this season. And we can still draft another OLB pass rusher.

Its a business all this wah he called us ignorant BS is frankly embarrassing.

In the UK Man Utd and Leeds truly hate each other , i mean to the point they beat each other to a pulp off the pitch . yet who is the biggest icon Man U have had in last 20 years...Eric Cantona ( Ex Leeds). Okay he didn't play the comedy bad guy role alla Taylor. But Cantona secured there first title for years...IF and its a big if Taylor helped win our first SB in years would we all still cry about what he said to the papers when playing for our biggest rivals.

i dont see why we have to get taylor, im sure he has some gas left in him to be an effective pass rusher, but i feel like with rex being a defensive master mind he can mold a drafted pass rusher and we can have a younger, quicker, and more long term player.

we can have the young molded player IN ADDITION TO someone who has proved they can do it in the nfl. it doesnt have to be one or the other.

This says it for me. And this coming from our guy embedded in the system. He obviously feels Taylor would be an improvement simply by strengthening the rotation. Obviously not confident in what is in place now.

Let by gones be by gones. Someone mentioned Byron Cox before. I remember detesting him so bad. But I also liked his play. How could you not. When he came to the Jets he played well and I totally appreciated it as a fan.

That quote also tells us that the players don't give a shit what Taylor said about the Jets in the past. They'll play with him since they KNOW he'll help the team.

Not necessarily, if we don't get rid of Gholston and/or BT that's one crowded linebacking corps.
