Just say no to Mark Brunell and Jason Taylor. Why are we talking about these two grundle faced douche bags. If God forsake they become Jets I just can't see myself rooting for either one of them. I loathe Taylor, and think Brunell is one of the biggest pieces of garbage to set foot on the field.

    Mark Burnell *throws pick*
Joe Gibbs- " Brunell what the hell was that?"
Brunell- "shit Joe" *sigh* "put campbell in next series, I'm gonna have a smoke"

The guy had 1.5 sacks in the last 9 games, and got most of the rest in two games. The pass rush is better already simply because we added Cromartie and will be returning Jenkins, so that's moot.

Antwan Barnes is 26 years old, incredibly athletic, and has extensive experience in the Baltimore scheme. He has a fourth round tender. I think he'd be a more worthwhile pickup than Taylor.

I see the player for player but not sure about not having to have have others sign. He fell to the final eight rule. I think we absolutely needed others to sign which makes this more confusing.

The final four teams will not be permitted to negotiate or sign any unrestricted free agent to a player contract unless he is cut from his team or originally belonged to the team that is trying to sign (or re-sign) him.

The bottom four of the final eight have it a little easier. They will be allowed to sign only one player with a salary of $4,925,000 or more and any number of players with a first-year salary of no more than $3,275,000 with an annual increase of no more than 30 percent in the following year.

There will be an additional mechanism to permit the final eight teams to sign an unrestricted free agent for each of the players they lose to free agency so long as they don't spend more than the player they lost earns from his new team.

This is because Tom Brady is one of the best quarterbacks in the game. Jason Taylor was once one of the best, albeit softest, pass rushers in the game. Now he's just Miami's leftovers, an over the hill gutless wonder.

like someone said earlier, this move will allow us to not only trade down, but go BPA for EVERY pick in the draft ... i dont think theres another team in the league that has that kind of flexibility

Just saw this posted on rotoworld:

The player rep for free agent Jason Taylor says his client has no plans to sign with the Jets during Wednesday's visit.
In other words, Taylor may have to be blown away with an offer to sign on the dotted line. Unfortunately for the Jets, they have little room to work with due to the Final Eight rule. Taylor may not sign before day's end, after all.

Not sure how much I buy into this...who the FUCK is Armando "Not Benetiz" Salquero anyway?

Hmm...who is more reliable...Schefter or this douche?

I'm hoping Jason Taylor slips on a banana peel and lands in front of a moving bus.

I'll let nature take its course after that.

I'd settle for anything that suggest hes not on his way here. "Jets fans, the worst in the NFL.....they hate me and I hate them......"....not happening

At least we can't blame Mike T. for trying to make this a better team, but I for one am glad JT is moving on. It shows that the animosity between him and the fans is real and not some bullshit "made up" nonsense.

We'll get to a SB before him and win one without him. Fuck him.

I want Jason Taylor like I want Mark Sanchez to have Joe Namath's knees. I will be sick to my stomach.
