We shouldn't be worrying about mentoring Gholston after two seasons. His multi-million dollar contract and Rex Ryan's coaching style apparently wasn't enough to motivate this kid. Moreover, we shouldn't be afraid of drafting his replacement, and that's what I fear signing Taylor represents. Beyond that, Taylor's just not that good anymore. He had 7 sacks last season, only 1.5 of those after Week 7. This is an indication that he either got lucky or he wore down. At 35 I think it's probably an indication of a little bit of both. If this is only going to be for a part time gig, I'd rather invest in someone that has a future, not a gutless hack like Taylor. -X-
