Sometimes its just talk. Not with this guy. I will have serious issues with the Jets if they sign this a-hole. How can anyone want him on our team. Here's some quotes

To score a touchdown in New York against the Jets in the last time I'll be in the hellhole they call a stadium up there before they get rid of it and move to the new one," Taylor said after returning a fumble 48 yards in the Dolphins win at the Meadowlands on Nov. 1.

    "It was outstanding."

"After we beat them the first time here in Miami, they talked about it for a few weeks,” Taylor said last year after the Dolphins swept the Jets. “Because our games were three weeks apart, they talked about it for a few weeks, and maybe it got in the way and tripped them up against the Buffalo Bills. They lost to the Bills up there in New York.

"So there comes a point where you’ve got to win with class, and you've got to lose with class, and we try to do that. We're not perfect. We do engage in some of the trash going back and forth, but at the end of the day we have two wins, and I think that gives us a little more reason to talk."

  2. I'm coming around to the move.....however...only under 2 assumptions

    1. Taylor is a situational 3rd down pass rush specialist only(barring injury) and BT continues to start.

    or

    2. BT is traded for draft picks and we draft an OLB early who can replace taylor in a season or 2

I don't think Signing Taylor to start and outright releasing BT is a very wise move.

i don't like it much either but i have to believe they have looked at other options and have decided this is the best route to go. until tanny and rex give me a reason to doubt what they are doing i'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt.

This move makes all sorts of sense really, there is no denying that it would be a very solid move on the field. And I think thats all Rex and the front office gives a shit about. In some ways, thats extremely respectable but I also think they know what this means to the fanbase. And hopefully Taylor does too. AKA, he'll fuckin grow a set and play his ass off.

  5. Because to win in the NFL you can't build a team w/ emotions. Do you think Rams fans who hated jerry Rice wouldn't have taken him in a heart beat on their team during his prime? Tampa fans w/ Barry Sanders?

I realize he's a player on the decline..and I have serious questions about him being a full time contributor..but there are roles on this team he could fill and be a big time asset.

I'd keep Thomas,if you could combine Taylor and Thomas then'd you have a complete OLB.Thomas plays the runnng down and Taylor plays the rushing downs.

he said he doesn't want to play for the jets but will if he has no other offers.

could just be a line in case the dolphags take him back.

For everyone crying about this, I have news for you. If he becomes a Jet and starts sacking the opposing QB, you will be putting on a short skit and some pom-poms and screeching like a little bitch "Go Jason".

    Agree 100%.

Only reason for JT is for passing downs.

i think you might be wrong about that. we have seen tweets already saying it will be shocking if he leaves without signing today. time to start worrying.

  13. The last few years the media inside sources have been alot more reliable with jets related reports. 9 times out of 10...if it's reported that someone is gonna sign(even if it's extremely premature) it ends up transpiring.

I'll eventually warm up to the idea of Taylor being on our roster.....but right now....the wound is still fresh.

I know you guys want to win.....fuck, so do i. I just don't think we need Taylor to do it.

The second Taylor signs, a midget is going to sprint into our home/office and kick us in the dick.

Time for people to take the green tinted glasses off. This would be a very good signing for us on what is essentially a small contract.

This gives us a better pass rush instantly and opens up the draft for us even more. I couldn't care less what Taylor has said in the past, if he does the job that he is brought in to do then you won't see me complain.

Bottom line is if Taylor signs the Jets just got better on defence for little to nothing.

Man this is really setting us up perfectly for this years draft

I really don't like Taylor as a person...but if he helps us get to the promised land, I can't say that I would oppose the signing.

As UKK said earlier, signing him essentially lets us go BPA through the draft this year. It also gives us one final year to see if Gholston can get his stuff together and be a contributor. From a football POV, it makes too much sense. As a fan, I would hate rooting for the guy, but I have to trust Rex and Tanny on this one.
