How the Hell can they trade him with that idiot contract? Although the St. Louis connection could be interesting. Spagnola could do some scary things with him. As far as connections with the Jets: Fuck and No.

Didn't Mangold absolutely bitch slap Haynesworth the last time we played?

Do you really think Rex couldnt handle his ego? and him and Jenkins on the line at the same time would be sick. I threw the part about wanting him in at the last moment. Its a pipe dream but hey its offseason plus I'm bored here at work.

Understandable, your right. Can't deny the guys skills but I question his motivation and work ethic. When he wants to play he can be untouchable but thats only every season he is playing for a new contract.

If (when?) the cap comes back, wouldn't they take a huge cap hit for trading him?

You're talking about the week 1 Titans game in 2006 when the Jets had a goal line run and Haynesworth got mauled. Funny thing is, a lot of people gave Mangold credit for bitch-slapping Big Al, but it was actually NORM KATNIK.

He didn't handle Rhodes'. Just because Rex is an awesome coach doesn't mean he can control every asshole in the league. The hubris surround Rex's ability to "control" players' egos is getting ridiculous. Short answer: no.
Until you realize that between the two of them, there is only one player who wants any part of playing in the Jets' defense. Haynesworth's whole problem is that he doesn't want to play for a 3-4 team. Not just a new Redskins 3-4 team but ANY 3-4 team.
    Fair enough.

It also said that the Redskins put Landry on the block as well to entice the Eagles. I'm kind of surprised they didn't bite on Landry and a pick this year. I like Landry as a safety and I'm curious as to know what the Redskins are looking for in compensation to him. Not saying it's something we should do because I'm sure the compensation would be for pick(s) this year and unless it's a 4th or lower it's not worth it with this draft class.

sure as hell wouldn't give up a first, even if he is the best DT in the league. That cap space could be used in a better way!

Redskin fans should consider themselves lucky that Shanahan took over. I'm not saying he is world class at what he does, but at least the signing-old-washed-up-players-to-expensive-contracts era will stop...

That could very well be as a nose tackle though...definitely a physically more demanding position than a 4-3 tackle, which is the position I'm assuming they want him to play. I could, however, see him warming up to the idea of playing end in the 3-4, which wouldn't be too much different from the pounding he takes at his current position.

That said, this guy has more red flags than communist party rally, so no thanks.
