2nd this year and 3rd or 4th round in next years.

Seems like a fair trade to me. The Redskins really needed a Star.

Mcnabbs gonna suck with a subpar offensive line and no elite recievers.

Last year the guy was incredibly spoiled with some of the best WRs in the league. Which is why Kolb almost looked like a probowler while playing last year.

This must be real weird for a Redskins fan...they have hated him for a decade and now have to root for him.

comparing Leon to McNabb in terms of being traded to rivals is not the same.

This is almost like Favre to the Vikings

They traded McNabb within the division? Seriously? Wow...

    Are you joking?

    No, he's not.

The guy's been a hell of a quarterback in this league for a long time. Philly fans incredibly stupid for constantly complaining about McNabb - he was the main reason they were always in the playoffs.

It's obvious to me, you haven't watched much of McNabb - he was very good with a bunch of nobodies at receiver - before TO, before Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin.

My analysis: This trade allows the Redskins to address the left tackle position with the #4 pick in the draft (Russel Okung comes to mine), or barter with teams using that pick as leverage to assemble more picks. Either way, this greatly increases their flexibility in the draft. Depending on who is on the board in the later rounds, they may decide to pick up a developmental QB like LeFevour or Snead to sit behind McNabb, and if McNabb doesn't sign a contract extention, they have someone to fill his shoes.

They might draft a OL prospect like Matt Tennant in the middle rounds, and pick up a potential defensive superstar like Eric Berry or Rolando McClain. In any case, I believe that the flexibility this move gives the Redskinds in the draft alone makes it a good move for their team, now and in the future.

    It's not even close.

This is exactly like Brett Favre to Minnesota. I'm sure that every single Redskins' fan hated McNabb up until 25 minutes ago.

    you are kidding right?

Outside of the brief stint with TO Mcnabb has had nobody to throw too.

Last year Jackson started to reach his potential, and really is blossoming into one of the biggest playmakers in the league simply because he is faster than everyone else (just like Chris Johnson in Tennesse), and Maclin was a rookie, granted a very talented rookie, but still just a rookie.

like Mr. E said, Mcnabb has done everything by himself in Philly, and they have wanted to kick him out the door for the past 5 years +.

Are they idiots? This is as bad as a typical Snyder/Cerrato trade.

    Big trade.

McNabb made James Thrash look good, so I think he'll be fine with what he has in WASH.

I'm not a fan of Snyder. We'll see how this plays out.

trading McNabb to a Division Rival for anything less than a 1st round pick....is absurd.

    Nice heist by Shanahan.

The guy made Brent Celek look like a top tier tight end. Now he has Chris Cooley.

He'll be fine with Santana Moss, Devin Thomas, and Malcolm Kelly.

It'll be interesting to see if McNabb can turn Thomas or Kelly into an elite wideout like Favre did with Sidney Rice.
