Bench reps aren't that important for a tackle. Most have long arms that aren"t conducive for high reps. I can rep 225 close to 20 x's and he'd eat me alive.

    .........and another moved post
Its Jets related news thats why its in the JETS forum. It wasn't speculation about who we may draft. Once again over zealous moderating. back to Mod school for whoever.....

Interesting that they are even looking at a potential 2nd-3rd round RB. That may speak volumes for the plans concerning Washington. If nothing else it is designed to send him a message. I would think it's the former.

Loved Mickey Shuler, one of my favorite all time Jets....would be awesome to see his son on the team.

I doubt they would do it just to send a message to one player, because they have a limited number of these things to start with, so they are too valuable to just give away for something like that.

It would be awesome to have another Mickey Shuler playing TE for us, although it would make me feel really old.

Kevin Haslam would be a really nice addition, versatile lineman and always did whatever was asked of him. Moved position to position without any concern and played each really well.

Also, Montario Hardesty is a stud, he's basically Shonn Greene with a little less power and top notch receiving ability.

The one thing I will say about Hardesty in addition to everything GH has said about him, the man has one hell of a spin move that he uses on the regular. He's very hard to square up in open space...

Ha Ha I've got new for you Vis...if you remember Mickey Shuler playing TE for the Jets, you ARE old!:jets:

He was, and alway will be, a favorite of mine and I would love to have his kid here. Someone (Mr E I think) said he was one of the best pure blocking TEs in the country. If that is true, and he can remember the snap count between the huddle and the LOS, I would rather have Mickey Jr than Hartstock in that role

Best is scheduled to visit the San Diego Chargers next week, according to a source close to the program with knowledge of the situation.

Best also has upcoming visits with the Washington Redskins, New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns.

Best ran the 40-yard dash in 4.34 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, bench pressing 225 pounds 18 times. He also had the best three-cone drill among the running backs with a 6.75 clocking

The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder rushed for 2,668 career yards and 29 touchdowns, catching 62 passes for 533 yards and six touchdowns.

The All-Pac 10 runner averaged 26.4 yards on 32 kickoff returns.

As a junior, he rushed for a career-high 1,580 yards and 15 touchdowns.

He missed the final four games of last season with a concussion, rushing for a dozen touchdowns and 867 yards. He also caught 22 passes for four more scores.

Major Wright to visit Titans, Jets, work out for Dolphins

Sounds like a potentially good pick.

If hes listed as a first rounder, can't see us taking him.

Due diligence... I'm still cool going into the season with our 4 S + Lowery as a FS/CB guy... I think in this draft we have to take care of our backup CBs more than our backup Ss...

Dude WW85 created thread for this exact reason. Probably should read through it before you post. This has already been reported.

But on topic don't want Kareem Jackson I feel there are numerous other CB's out there that will do a better job than he would. Major Wright on the other hand would be awesome in the Gang Green. Another Rex kind of player.

I like Wright, but I think we could find a better player in round 2. Maybe an Earl Thomas is he falls in round 1.

I don't think he'll go in the first round, unless there's an unusual run of CBs going early. Even then he could still make it to the second round.
