From everything that I've been reading/hearing, the Jets will not be going WR in the 1st. But if the BPA is WR......why not?

Every time you guys do a mock, the more worried I am that there will be no value on the board at 29, and that nobody will want to move up, and we will be forced taking a player that we probably shouldn't like Tate, or reaching for a player that we could get 10-15 picks later...

if the board fell like that i'd rather take pouncey.that said,i have a feeling tanny is going up for someone.i think the belief is we are 1-2 players away from being special and tanny is going to get him now.
i would say a trade with pittsburgh would get us over the teams that might take our guy.

I would rather Pouncey or Kindle at that spot, Golden Tate maybe the second coming of David Terell

I don't understand why so many here feel an O-lineman is a good move at 29. It's not even one of our top three priorities, IMO. We all know we need line depth on both sides of the ball, but there will be countless other BPAs on the board at 29, so why go O-line?

Consider if no one on our line gets injured this season, just as last season. We'd have picked a 1st rounder to ride the pine in 2010, when we could have gotten a player who could have contributed in year 1. O-lineman can be found in later rounds, or at worst, during next years FA/draft.

Picking an O-lineman at 29 is not the right move.

If the Jets took Tate with Kindle and Dunlap still on the board I'd literally throwup.

its tough to fill OL with really good talent in free agency, its just too expensive most of the time. people may be thinking there are a couple guys who wont be here past next year or the year after and they need to be replaced.

its tough because its such an important piece but its so hard to pay for a big name guy.

i dont think anyone wants to see what happened before we brought mangold and ferguson in.

After seeing Faneca get exposed this year, plus the fact that the Jets will almost certainly cut him in the offseason next year as he's due $7.5 million and we have to sign Brick, Mangold, Revis, Harris and possibly Cromartie and Edwards, I think that drafting a competent lineman, specifically a guard makes total sense. Having said that, I'd rather trade down from 29, grab some extra picks so we can address depth on both lines.

I would be happy with Kindle at 29 (according to everything I've read on here =] )
He feels a bigger immediate need that won't be filled with as talented a player later on (we can get a slot WR later).

I wouldn't hate going OL because we do need replacements for Faneca and Woody sooner than later. If there is an OL who is "more BPA" than any DE/OLB out there, then I'd grab him.

And we were led to believe that the Jets were satisfied with Clemens/Ratliff last year? I'm almost partial to believing the opposite of what I read these days.

Kindle dropping to 32 is unlikely.

That looks damn near identical to almost every mock I've seen or we've talked about around here. There will be a few surprises, there always are...

this year we have the luxury of not having to fill a need/get a starter. If we went in to the season with the depth chart as is we would still be considered a play-off team to start the year.it makes sense to add o-line depth this year to off set what is probably going to be a tough off season next year.

Before I go read all this, I pray I didn't fuck anything up because I was so :drunk: I hardly remember even doing this.

My reasoning for not taking Kindle is because I (not being a college expert) thought he was a 4-3 LB and wouldn't fit out system. That being said I'm sure I picked a few guys who don't pick that team's system as well but I just have a general feeling the FO really likes Tate. Also, I'm not big on Dunlap so I didn't pick him...

Unfortunately Tate is a strong possibility. The value won't be there selecting the 6th best DLine or 5th best LB/CB at 29 you would have to take WR/RB/OL

Kindle falling to us would be so clutch, I'd be amazed if we passed on him.

The Clemens/Ratliff situation isn't comparable to having Edwards/Cotchery.
