Merriman tested possitive in preseason that year...preseason! His suspension didnt get handed down til midway in the year . Do you really think he would be juiced after he tested possitive in preseason? Or how about after he came back from his suspension? He had 8 sacks in 5 games when he came back from suspension and if you know anything about using roids and working out, they wear off quickly. He claimed it was somethig in his protein mixture he buys from the store. I dont know, but he isnt the only one that has happened to and they regulate it(the NFL) Merriman got cheap shotted by your former OC Kevin Mauwau(spelling) in a Dec game against Tennesee because he felt Merriman hit Vince Young on purpose after a play when he just bumped into him and Vince went all dramatic like he was shot (no flags on the play) (actually there was another player involved to) and Merriman wasnt even involved in the play in which Mauwau went after him and was on the other side of the field and he hurt his knee on that play. His knee from then on including the playoffs had a tear in it and he held off on surgery and thought he could play threw it but it got worse so after the first game the next season he shut it down and had his surgery ending his season. Last year, he wasnt 100% and also had Lis Franc in his foot. Hopefully he is 100% this season but he hasnt been himself since Dec 2008. Merriman loves So Cal because he is close to LA, can do extra work for Fox Sports and has done some program on Muscle Beach. Im sure he would love to be on the East Coast again but he loves what he can do in So Cal too. Obviously you guys dont know the whole Tila skank story either. He is guilty of bad judgement because she is a skank but trust me, she is a whack job and you got a taste of it with her BS with the owners daughter. I really think she has mental problems and she was fucked up and running around naked that night and was pissed because Shawne had two women in his room and he asked to her join them and she flipped out and the rest is history.
The Jets should right now be targeting one of these guys on Thursday or Friday: Brandon Graham(unlikely to fall but I can still dream) Sergio Kindle Everson Griffen Ricky Sapp Eric Norwood BoltJolt, I'm not going to rag on him for his steroid test, I highly doubt that he is dumb enough to keep going with it after he tested positive. However, he still has to show that he can recover from his knee injury to be as effective as he once was.
so pretty much we are saying he hasn't been what he was since he got busted and you are saying he hasn't been the same since he got injured... those two things tend to go hand in hand.
and blew out his knee?? yes roids was part of his success but i wouldn't be surprised if he had himself a very nice little year next season
