This stupid. All this talk and conjecture. Leon's trainers in Fla told him at least two more weeks till he is cleared for running back drills. The guys stick was broke in two places and Rex said that is the reason you don't give a guy like that 20 or more carries. That makes sense. He is playing the money game mildly. This is a carry over from last year but doesn't carry as much weight because of the injury. His best chance for a ring is here and now. There is so much buzz and excitement. No way he leaves. He will have his agent to blame for anything he has lost and will lose in the future by leaving. He won't leave the Jets. It goes against all reason. what troubles me is the whole leon's wife thing. does she realize defending keels, a guy that teams hate since hes an arrogant, incompetent, fool, makes leon look bad and is costing their family money? keels has to have some power over them. they cant be this dumb, can they?
I'm in St. Aug, and have heard the same positives about Leon. Trey Ko knows him personally (used to do some local sports radio), but he hasn't posted on here in awhile.

I don't see how this leak helps Washington. I don't believe a word of it. Washington will be a Jet because it doesn't appear another team wants to take a chance on him with the injury and lose a 2nd round pick in the process. i just got here royal tee!!! jets fans, especially on this site are very quick to throw away anyone... its almost like they think they are running the team or are a part of it. they also dont care how the jets win they simply want them to win. no matter what. and no matter how the team portrays itself. the jets, really tannenbaum has a history of lying, speaking out of both sides of his mouth and tossing anyone away and selling it to the fans as the guy is a douche, which the fans have proven to believe. i dont for one second think that tannenbaum is above doing something like this, he has a history of it. now as far as why now, or saying it is true i really dont know, i dont know alvin keels and really dont have any history to work off of with him other than the hatred spewed around this site. its just funny to me how big of a hardon everyone had for leon washington 2 years ago and how much hatred they have for him now. then again this isnt the first time that has happened either, kerry rhodes ring a bell. chad pennington ring a bell... although to a lesser degree as many people continued to support him for some reason? hmm i cant wait until a few years from now when mark sancheese is lambasted all over this site because the next new guy has emerged. this is possibly the most frustrating thing as a jet fan, people tend to have the same bad habits that people make fun of new yorkers for.

That's a truly unfortunate side effect of all of this. Even more reason to hate Keels for his part in this whole situation. When I bought that jersey, I was convinced Leon was a career Jet. Oh well...there's still hope he fires his agent and decides to seek a real long term deal with the team....right?
