Call Jets today and pretend you are new buyer and verify my information if you want to.

If Jets have only sold 50% of PSLs, wouldn't they be the 50% best seats? I am not providing shocking information. (first ten rows, aisle seats and seats within 4 of aisle by higher priced section would be first sold). Basically they are stuck the rows in middle in upper half and top rows near aisle towards cheaper priced sections.

I call once a week pretend I am new buyer with my caller ID disabled and get best seats for sale. Only way fo me to guage how poorly or well sales are going first hand.

Sales people lie, some are honest. If I do it every week with a variety of salespersons over time real details emerge.

Jets host Giants on Monday night Preseason

Just announced - Jets will host Giants in GAME 1 of preseason this year. And on a Monday night (Aug 16). Big change in tradition.
Other three games announced, but dates/times not determined yet.
Home again in preseason week 3 against the Redskins.

That sucks. Giants game 3 for a real game was always the best.

I disagree with that decision with the NFL, first of most people won't consider the first football game in that stadium until Week 1 in September. How many people considered the first baseball game in the New Yankee Stadium last year in Spring Training vs Red Sox. Fans will see both starters for a couple drives max and then backups the rest of the game.

The first game in new Yankee Stadium was April 3rd, 2009 against the Cubs.

    First Game

Correct. I was at the first regular season game, on April 16, 2009 against the Indians. Yanks got clobbered on chilly, but sunny day.
New Jets Stadium will be my second new stadium christening in two years. Can't wait.

i doubt there will be an announcement that there will be a strike before ticket money is due. with all of the psls and season ticket holders they will be sure to have a backup plan in place with uncle rico from napoleon dynamite starring at qb.

id be willing to bet that they wouldnt even lower ticket prices at this point. the nfl is not what it used to be.

    that is so stupid.
game 3 where the regulars play 3 quarters would have been better

I agree. Geez, I'm beginning to feel like an crotchety bastard. Everything they announce a change of, I'm against. The first preseason game could have been against Montclair State - it would not matter because everyone would care more about seeing the stadium than the game. The Giants game as the 3rd preseason game would have had its own value.

Looking at this as a season ticket holder, I don't like it. Now the demand for the Redskins game as the 3rd game diminishes greatly. There would have been demand for that one as the first Jets "game" in the stadium, and also high demand for the Jets/Giants game. Now I'm not sure. I'm probably f*cked again.

Hey, I have tickets to try and sell. No one wants to go to the preseason games (I carry 6 seats) These preseason games used to be the unofficial PSL. I was sure I wouldn't be eating tickets THIS summer for once. This announcement makes me not so sure.

From a fan perspective, who needs another game where you get home after midnight and have to go to work the next day? Let alone the added hassle of tailgating on a weeknight. This game used to be played on Saturday night, which made for a relatively fun August night. Monday? NO. We've already got three night games on a schedule that hasn't officially come out yet. I love the night games - when they are away games.

    They got me again...

Actually I think it was a rather smart marketing ploy by them.

Fans hungry for FB, opening of the new stadium for FB, A NYJ/NYG game. Maybe they finally found the way to fill the stadium for a game that does not count.

Yeap, I would have told the Giants to have the first pre-season game, I want to play you in game 3 and kick your ass when it means something. Every other year we have one good pre-season game to go to. Are the Jets that desperate to sell PSL's that they need to show the green stadium on MNF asap? I believe this is the reason behind the move. Geez, the PSL's are gonna drive everything this team does, fourtunately, that means winning also. Woody is gonna sit in the blimp and rub one out to his green louvers.

The bad part of being good the previous year is the lack of Sunday 1 PM's. Three night games and the schedule is not even out. I bet we get a SNF game at home and a MNF game on the road. As far as selling pre-seasons, if I don't go, I give them away or eat them. I would never ask anyone to pay, just buy a case of beer sometime and take your kids who's never been to a game.

I also accept barter, especially when it comes in a 12 oz bottle ; )

I think the Jets would have had two big preseason crowds had they kept things the way they were, so I disagree with Champ. The Jets/Giants game this year would have been a full house whenever it was played. They might have less people there Monday than they would have on a Saturday.

how do you know if the seats are in the middle/aisle or end of the rows? right now, there's no details in the section maps.

I'm kind of pumped for the week 1 preseason vs the Giants. Me personally I'm off that time of year so it works out well. Also I know that I can watch the first quarter see the starters and then walk around the stadium. I remember last year when I went to the Yankees Cubs exhibition game and it was great walking around seeing the place after I saw a couple innings. If you can't go to the game I'd still bet you could get face or 1.5 times face if you list it on ebay in the next few weeks.

They want all their money by April 15, not going to happen. What happened to May 1? Let me get this straight, now they have no leveraqe and they move the due date up? I'll pay it as I can, fuck that.

    It Varies

Junkie, you're correct. The number of seats varies a lot, by section and even by row, within section. In many areas, in the upper level, there are 28 seats per row. But as the row numbers go down, so do the seat numbers, especially as you get near the portals.

Look at the Shutterfly photos (over 100) I posted earlier and you may find your section in those photos. Depending upon how computer savvy you are or what software you have, you can blow up a photo, find your section, row and count the seats. Generally speaking, the seats start at #1, from the left.

If you have trouble doing that, post your section/row/seat numbers and I'll check my original photos to see if I have a good shot of that section. Or, if you prefer not to post your info, put it in a private message to me and I'll see if I can find it.

Yet another alternative is that if I have a decent shot of your section (I look at the photo and count the sections, referencing the stadium map), I can email you a photo file of that section.

Would prefer you find it but if you need my help, let me know.
