Yeagh. We're going up against all mediocre teams in the preseason. Hopefully that works to our advantage. Good warm up.
All horrendous teams in the preseason (cept philly who wont be playing any starters), guess we wont see any excitement till September . At least Woodhead Clowney Ainge and Gholston should get ample playing time, maybe well find a diamond in the rough somewhere
I'm kind of glad they aren't playing Baltimore myself. They aren't really playing a real physical team, so hopefully that means less chance of injury... nothing sucks more than a big preseason injury. I think there is enough motivation already there for the Jets to bring their A game in week 1. After coming so close to the superbowl I don't think they need an intense preseason game to get them up for the regular season.
The twists and turns that the league has gone through over the ridiculous "first to host a game in the new stadium" issue are pretty absurd, and this is just another of them.
That's cool. I went there a couple years back for a Cowboys-Panthers preseason game. It was actually the first year they did the Original Hard Knocks so maybe it was more than a few years. The atmosphere outside that stadium is great, lots of stuff for the fans to do. Moreso than Jets games. Started pouring rain and lightining and the game got delayed. The staidum was nice from what i remember, but I'm sure its aged aa bit.
I honestly cannot remember one preseason where the Giants were not the week three opponents. Is this the first since the Jets moved to NJ?
Yes. While I don't care one bit about preseason, the Giants are coming off like a bunch of whiny brats in this whole thing. I honestly hope they suck this year and for years to come.
Exactly, the starters would play at least a half, and it was always the hardest fought pre-season game, probably in the NFL. Damn.
we had the preseason home opener any way.this is just the NFL trying to play nice and say "see we let you open the preseason" bullshit we where suppose to anyway.
