You also said that you think Edwards is more likeable than Edwards

He is though, the Edwards who scores 80 yard TDs against the Colts is a lot more likeable than the Edwards who lets perfect TD passes go through straight through his hands. They're clearly two different players.

that is what you use to determine he is not a great guy? with ALL the stuff out there you choose the fact that he just like you would like to be paid what you feel is fair. only difference is he has a leg to stand on... most dont.

there are plenty of things about his character that you can attack, i just cant see wading through all of that crap to use THIS as your ammunition.

So he's a dick for wanting to wind up a city he doesn't hate and for a contract that is of equal market value? Pretty shoddy reasoning there. You could have at least quoted his arrest record like Abyzmal.

Can't wait until we play Arizona. That'll be the prettiest matchup after Edwards burns McFadden and Rhodes has to give up the TD.

I wonder who he's going to throw under the bus then? Adrian Wilson? No bc the media will hear a high pitch bitch voice "UUGHHHH" coming out of the locker room followed by Batman sound effects from the 60s like BOOM and BAM...maybe DRC? very young, up and coming CB who is already one of the best in the game? yea sounds like the right target sherry would pick

Nah Kerry already paid for Wilson to have a free day of tanning at his favorite LA spa. Kerry will even place the lotion on his skin.

You mean in the last 2 years? You never posted when Martin and Chrebet were still playing. Not to mention Chad.

We could keep Edwards and Marshall for one year since there's no cap and the let Edwards go next year and sign Marshall to a long term. He's a great receiver. And Cotch could play the slot and we would not sign Coles thanks god.

We are not going to run the ball 40 + times next year. We are going pass more and we need big play capability from someone. Getting Marshall and paring him with what we got, would be sick.

Marshal puts us over the top. period. adds a huge dimension to our offense and we are Super Bowl Favorites..... send them our 29th pick today... If Tanny wants to wait it out as I believe he should till draft day for better leverage and publicity then OK. Give them Leon if things don't work out contractually and swap second round picks or something creative like that, Let Tanny do what he does best wheel and deal. And by the way adding Marshal adds another dimension to the Hard Knocks show.. This investment much like the addition of Farve did in Jersey sales alone will only make you money. Anyway the idea that Sanchez and Marshal are already friends or have at least a stable relationship is a bonus. Plus who can butt heads with Rex Ryan? This is a team where he would fit in. If money is the issue give him a one year deal worth whatever, and have him and Edwards battle it out for a real contract extension next offseason.

    Kerry Rhodes, for one.

Marshall wants a contract extension, something that the Jets have yet to offer Nick Mangold, Darrelle Revis, and Braylon Edwards. If the Jets bring in Marshall with a shiny new contract without signing at least two of these three then they stand to piss off Edwards at least, and probably a lot of veterans with expiring contracts after 2011.

If the Jets do not offer Marshall a new contract immediately after the trade, they are risking bringing in a player who does not want to be here, and another problematic contract situation in 2011 which results in renting a player for one year at the cost of a first round pick. Fuck. That.

Yeah bring in any Jackass that can make a tackle or catch a pass. Yeah Rex can keep them in line....... No matter what can of deodorant you want to spray on a turd, guess what? In the end it is still going to smell like a turd.

Jesus if it was up to some of these maniacs, the Jets would offer Tank Johnson, Pacman, Marshall, Michael Vick and Joey Porter contracts. The Jets would break Rae Carruth out of jail, channel the ghost of Chris Henry, bring back the other LT and while they are at it, OJ.

Fuck Rex can handle all of them. Shit, I heard the Jets are going to lend Rex to the state of California to rehabilitate Charlie Manson, Ed Kemper and Richard Ramirez. When Rex is done with those 3, they will be running clinics for runaway girls and orphans..........

Couldn't agree more this will ruffle feathers in the locker room and is a huge risk. What Jet's management has to ask themselves is do they have the cap space to sign all the Veterans without contracts in future years, or is this THE year. I mean can we afford the likes of Mangold, Revis, Edwards, ect... in future years while filling in for the Veterans that are leaving or retiring such as Jenkins, Ellis ect... and still create a team that can compete year in and year out. (which I totally would prefer) then don't pull a move like this. However if Tanny and Woody are sitting in there offices going oh shit the next five years don't look so good we have too many players, that are too talented, that will demand too much money, and this is our peak, and its time to go. Then lets pull out all the stops, get that player we need in an uncapped year while we can, build our fan base quickly through marketing schemes ect.. and roll the dice then please do it.

With a sophomore inexperienced QB, they can not be that nuts to think that this is the peak of this team. The peak of this team, provided Sanchez is the one franchise QB the Jets have lacked, is 2-3 years away.
