I know it's very early and the draft hasn't even happened yet, but I was curious what my fellow Jets fans' expectations are at this point in the offseason.

I'll say it. I expect the 2010 New York Jets to win Super Bowl XLV.

Oh man, last year's expectations thread would be a fun one to look at.

Ask me again after we're done making offseason moves, but I'm thinking this will be our best season since '98. 11 - 5 or 12 - 4 barring major injury.

The playoffs are a bit of a lottery, but I reckon a division championship is attainable if the injury bug doesn't strike and Sanchez makes the sort of progress I expect.

Anything less than getting to the AFCC= total disappointment.

Packers are completely dependent on their passing attack which means no way we lose to them. If Vikings dont have Favre back no way we lose to them (if they do its ALL coming down to which AP we see)

Steelers (gotta remember the Steelers have seen this Rex Ryan defense a million times, but our players havent seen this Steelers team too many) and 1 game vs the Pats (could totally sweep them depending on the Welker situation) are all I see us losing. And then as customary im sure well lose a stupid random game or 2 somewhere.

11/12 wins is most likely. Our offense isnt good enough or consistent enough for a 13-14 win season.

    My best Nostrodamus prediction:

The Jets are going to trade for Randy Moss and Wes Welker. They are going to go 16-0, breeze through the playoffs and lose the Superbowl to the Giants 17-14.

    Obviously that's complete hogwash.

No way are the Aints making it to the Superbowl.

Only part I found crazy was us only scoring 14 points against the Giants.

Anyone who plays the Giants hasta score at least 50 points

This is the year the division can be had.

The playoffs I won't touch. That's too tough to predict.

The Jets do have to try to attain the division title this year. That I'll expect.

Losses to Buffalo and Denver? This would be much more realistic if we lost to GOOD teams like New England and Houston instead.

    This.

The AFC East is up for grabs. Time to take it and hold on for a while.

The only goal is winning the division. Whatever comes next is gravy. But after the AFC championship the goal has to be at least winning the division.
