This is the truth. If you're a Jets fan and you listen to Francesa and you get pissed off it's your fault. The guy is a Giants fan and always has been. He only broke towards the Jets a bit when Parcells was running the franchise.
I caught 1050 ESPN NY on 1040 in Atlantic City. Listened to the Jets on a Sunday when I drove down with my wife. The signal at times isn't strong enough, but you can get it. It's all NY

I know everyone is right when they say "just don't listen to him". I shouldn't listen or (more commonly) just hear about what he said on TGG. But I honestly can't help being bothered when he says this stuff. The Jets have become a joke? A circus? The objective evidence says otherwise: they were one of the top four NFL teams last season! Just like when he says they don't have a very good defense. Again, objective evidence says #1 defense in the NFL in both points and yards allowed = very good defense. I think the main reason it pisses me off is that, as the Jets were making an unexpected Cinderella run to the AFCC, when everyone in their home city should be excited and supporting them, the number 1 radio sports personality did the absolute antithesis of that and relentlessly bashed the team and their fans. And sadly, no matter how little I listen, lots of other people are tuning in to hear that shit.
francesa is king of complete silence on the radio. he'll have a 2 minute period where he's silent for 1:30 of it. in between he'll say uhhhhh or say a number.
Yeah, especially when he's looking for a stat or something like listing things, long pauses and uuuuuhhhhhs.
I do happen to agree last January while I was enjoying the Jets run to the AFCCG, listening the big man made it tough because all he did was make excuses on why the Jets won. Instead of getting behind the team and getting the entire city energized about what couldve happened he basically bashed the Jets. First time vs Cincy-his repsonse was vanilla play calling, rested a bunch of starters, WC win-well cincy wasn't a real div winner since they lost 5 of 6 or something like that, and that they were a beatable team. Div win-Jets got lucky, Kaeding misses 3 FGs, Rivers didn't play good bad penalty call, luck pick by revis and it goes on and on.
I wonder what Diet Coke does to your body. I hope someday they discover its the worst thing you can do to yourself. I love Sirius NFL and I even listen to Mad Dog during the baseball season. Never, ever going to listen or watch Mike, not even on Sunday's. I will always hate him for how mean he was about my team during our fun run.
That's the only sports channel I listen to now. Unless Howard and that are repeats, then I might wander over to ESPN just our of desperation. I really hate most of their radio guys now.
