We've heard all the talk about Suh, Berry, Clausen, etc etc. We know all the players from all the big schools. But what about the small schools? The D-II's?

This thread is to help educate people on guys from small schools who you think could be good at the next level. Don't just make a simple post, but try to keep it going. I'll start with my favorite player

    Andre Roberts, WR, Citadel
Projected Round: Late 3rd to Early 5th
Who does he remind you of: Poor man's Greg Jennings, even possibly a mini J-Co
Would he fit for the Jets: Looks to be a great slot receiver, so yes

Roberts is someone who I think could be awesome in the league. He arguably had the best senior week of any wide receiver. Standing at 5'9 and weighing 195, he isn't the biggest. He isn't the strongest, and he isn't the fastest. But man, this kid can straight out play.

He will fight for the ball every single time. He can make head movements that will break ankles. He has deceptive speed in the open field. His cuts are magnificent. He won't be a #1 receiver in the league, but he could definitely be a great slot and even a #2 guy. I do hope the Jets get him in the draft, could be a great fit.

Here is a highlight video I found of him. It's not a great highlight video (the creator slows it down and makes it choppy?) but you do see some great stuff of his.

I really like Akwasi Owusu-Ansah from IUP (Indiana of Pennsylvania, for the uninitiated). Ridiculous pro day stats with a 4.31 and 21 reps. No idea if he's just a workout warrior, but with that kind of strength and speed, at corner (which is a fairly easy position to play if you've got the athleticism) you've got a future stud.

Guys, I talked with Jim Noonan this morning. He coached Andre Roberts in high school.

It's looking more and more like I'll have my write up done by the weekend - I'm just tired as hell and it's been a long week.

What do people think of DE Austen Lane from Murray State? DraftDaddy.com has him as the #4 3-4 defensive end. At 6'6", 276 pounds, he could potentially help at defensive end or outside linebacker. He has a very nice mix of size, athleticism, and production that Ryan would love I think.

I am hoping we can get him in the second round. He fits everything we look for in a corner.

But in all seriousness, he's awe inspiring.

HOWEVER, in true seriousness, Jeremy Williams is a really good, very productive WR. Not too fast, but makes up for it by running sharp routes and is fearless across the middle. Plays a lot like Jerricho Cotchery.

I like him too but my fav is Roberts too... he is just everything you look for in a slot WR and maybe he can even become a #2 WR ala Cotch.
