I didn't see where the article specified these kids were using the drug for medicinal purposes in states where it's legal. Try again.

It's kind of a joke that weed is illegal, when it's less deadlier then the shit that they put into cigarettes.

    That's completely irrelevant.

c'mon man. You know damn well these kids weren't using it for medicinal purposes. Stop trying to bend reality here. Go take a bong hit.

As a parent of young children, I think the notion that athleats should act as role modles is fucking stupid. Do I want my kids to watch sports and play them? Yes, but I don't want my kid emulating every two bit player on the planet. The only ones who should be watching what they do are the ones trying to make additional millions on endorsements, because public opinion of them is why they make that money.

Its up to the parents to talk to the kids about things like drugs. If you kids favorite player gets busted for Pot or drunk driving it gives you a great chance to talk about the subject with them. The too many people are too quick to blame music, TV, Video games, and sports on thier childrens problems and do not realize that they are just shity parents who probly do not spend enough time with thier kids.

In what way am I being naive? The fact that guys aren't doing coke anymore? I know thats not the case. I was just saying it isn't as wide spread as it used to be. I think you can thank marijuana for that.

I smoke everyday of my life, but never once dabbled with coke. I am a person with adhd and since the day i started smoking i can honestly say it has helped me. I go to class which i do at night cause I work all day and i smoke a bowl i leave class i smoke a bowl. I get home i smoke a bowl. It helps me fall asleep and I'm up on time to get to work. Get out of work and start it all over again. I wouldn't say it has made me lazy. I think i'm very good at what I do and never once have I let it effect my life. Yes obviously there are some negatives to it but i feel there are just as many positives. Its a lie for the goverment to tell us otherwise while they still allow alcohol and cigarettes to be sold.

Like i said earlier here in MA it is pretty much legal. You get fined 100$ and no criminal offense. Soon it will come to a state near you and we can start taxing it instead of the drug dealers making all the money. Put the money towards the bogus healthcare bill that this country can't pay for. Its a joke it is still illegal for most states.

Gosh, I remember the good old days, where pot concerns caused about a dozen teams to pass on Warren Sapp. That turned out real well for all those teams.

That said, I totally get how it ruins the image of the league having its star players busted for drugs of any kind, and why they want to keep that sort of thing under wraps.

Personally, I love that so many people are being open about pot use. It's just getting one step closer to legalization. Which, of course, I'm waiting for.

Oh no! SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE DUMB FUCKS!
Agreed. Legalization is inevitable. Anyone who opposes it is wasting our time and tax dollars.

I'm not surprised someone who doesn't think marijuana has any significant ill-effects, and thus there is nothing wrong with it, doesn't posses the ability to identify the complete lack of logic in Charles' statement.

Well this post from another thread explains your position. You couldn't handle it, so you assume others can't either.

I have yet to come across a remotely sound argument from someone who couldn't control themselves in regards to drugs (or had a friend or family member who was a complete dipshit and let drugs ruin their life).
